Q: 1. Has anyone used this on the BlackMagic MICRO Cinema camera? Wondering how much distortion it has (barrel). Any links to images with it? Thanks!

A: In the MFT format, a 12mm is a moderate wide lens. Users have reported minimal distortion and very good sharpness.

Q: 2. Is this a manual focus only lens?

A: Yes, it's manual focus. No auto focusing here, BUT it works great with focus peaking. It's one of my favorite lenses to use with my GX7.

Q: 3. I own a BMPCC and an SLR MAGIC anamporphot adapter. Does anyone know if this lens is too wide for the adapter or is the 35mm equivalent long enough to keep me from getting vignetting?

A: It is too wide. The 12mm is a 24mm equivalent in full frame terms, and the lens needs to be at least 35mm in full frame to not vignette.

Q: 4. Does it supported by Black Magic Ursa Mini EF mount camera?

A: No, this is in the Canon EF-M mount for the Canon Mirrorless System. the Black Magic Ursa Mini is in EF mount, not EF-M

Q: 5. what firmware version is the this lens?

A: Unfortunately we cannot check the firmware version of a lens but firmware updates are free and user updateable from the Viltrox website. Please take a look at the following link for Viltrox firmware updates: https://bhpho.to/43sykt4

Q: 7. Do the Sony and Nikon versions have the same good autofocus?

A: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1678083-REG/viltrox_af_50_1_8_z_af_50mm_f_1_8_z.html This is a fully auto focus lens with the quiet STM motor and will work fine with Sony and Nikon camera ,All Auto focus functions will be good for both of these cameras

Q: 8. Is the aperture ring properly declicked for use in videography?

A: No, the aperture ring has half-stop dentents.

Q: 9. Does it have stabilizer?

A: No, the Viltrox 50mm f/1.8 does not have stabilization.

Q: 10. is this lens actually 12mm on aps-c or 19mm. I have the ef-m 22mm and it says its 35mm equivalent when its actually 22mm aps-c. thanks

A: Any lens is PHYSICALLY the nr of millimeters it is marked, So your EF-M lens is marked 22mm but the EQUIVALENT FIELD OF VIEW is that of what you would see through a 35mm lens of a full frame camera. I think for any Canon lens the correction factor for FOV from APS-C focal length is 1.6 x focal length of the APS-C lens which would be 1.6 x 22mm APS-C lens = about 35mm. For 12mm Rokinon in Canon mount, you would calculate 1.6 x 12mm APS-C lens = about 19mm FOV. So it is actually physically 12mm but produces 19mm field of view/perspective (compared with full frame) on a Canon EF-M APS-C body. In terms of product quality, I've owned this lens for nearly a year for Fuji-X APS-C mount and can vouch for its excellent value.. Field curvature at the edges is acceptably correctable for nonprofessional uses and it has very good to excellent sharpness.
