A: Hi Dani,Yes, you can use the 1/4 outputs from the preamplifier to directly drive the 1/4 inputs in your recorder. you only need to buy or build two simple cables with plugs at both ends. As far as signal voltage levels are concerned, I don't expect any problem because you can comfortably adjust the preamplifier monitor level to prevent saturation of your recorder inputs (by the way, the 1/4 outputs and the 1/8 outputs both depend on the monitor knob). As far as equalization is concerned, I don't expect a problem either, assuming the recorder inputs have a flat response - i.e. are not designed for musical instruments (if the latter applies, you might need re-equalization during recording or playback, but I'd not consider this as a drawback). A: Theoretically, you should be able to adapt the USB to a lightning connection and use this mixer with an iOS devise, but there is no documentation confirming this from ART. This product is meant to be used with a computer.

Q: 5. I want to convert the SDI 1080i signal from my switcher to a 1080p signal to my live streaming server for YouTube. Will this unit do that?

A: I do technical support for Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor in the US. The Decimator 2 is definitely capable of doing what you are describing if your streaming server has HDMI input. If you bring the 1080i signal in on the SDI input you can configure the Decimator 2 to output 1080p over HDMI.

Q: 6. Can I use this product to do external video monitoring with Avid Media Composer 8?

A: NLE, Non-Linear Editing programs, are not meant to be used in such fashion. We would suspect if it were even possible to see live video, it would not be a reliable connection. We recommend sending the video signal to a proper monitor.

Q: 7. I'm getting really low monitoring through headphones on this. even turned up to 10 and balanced to hear the preamp only. Does anyone else have this issue?

A: I haven't heard of this issue per-say. The first thing I'd look at would be the impedance specification on my headphones. If it's on the high side, I'd consider getting a headphone amp, or headphones with a lower impedance.

A: From what I have read, yes it can, however I will double check and get back to you. However, I am using 1080p/60 so there may be a difference for you. But this thing is fantastic

Q: 10. Can the built-in preamp be completely bypassed so that the output of the cartridge goes directly to the output terminals on the back of the turntable?

A: Yes, the built-in preamp on the AT-LP5X can be bypassed when the preamp selector switch is set to Phono. When Line output is selected the internal preamp is active. The Phono setting is used when you are connecting to an amp with a dedicated phono input which will have its own preamp built-in or if you want to use a separate external preamp. The Line output setting is used when connecting the turntable to an amp that does not have a dedicated phono preamp so the internal preamp on the AT-LP5X will be engaged.
