Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can I slide a strip of 35mm film from one frame to the next without scratching it? does it lie totally flat when doing this?
A: You should open the frame so you do not scratch your negatives when using the Sunray Panorama 120 film Carrier.
Q: 2. Would it work for Kodak brownie starlet camera? 127mm. I look at more there is adapter for 120mm. But, it's is small box camera that might fit 120mm.. never done it before.. wounding if is possible.. thanks
A: 120 can be used on cameras that take 117 or 620 film by winding the film onto the appropriate spool. 127 film is approximately 2/3 the width of 120 and would need to be cut down and respooled. I am not familiar with the Kodak Starlet however.
Q: 3. I used this film with Mamiya 645 and Sekonic L-308X-U on a daylight, i sat my light meter to 400 ISO, am following the light meter readings and i still getting under exposed images, what u think is my problem. btw sometimes i push my film but i still not satisfied with the results. (**note** camera is in good condition)
A: I've shot this film twice, once at 800 with no push, and second time at 1600 and pushed 2 stops. The second time around I had better results with contrast and the look I was going for. It's a bit trial and error, but I feel 400 is too low. So try shooting at 500 in daylight if you use with a 85 filter as per CineStill, but honesty I think this is better suited at 800 or 1600 ISO.
Q: 4. Im ONLY 4 days into my Mamiya 645 1000s path, how do I know what films I can use in my camera,or,are all 120 films useable in the camera?
A: All 120 film could be used in the Mamiya 645.
Q: 5. Might be a dumb question, but this would fit into a holga camera?
A: It should fit. Holga cameras mainly use 120 film.
Q: 6. I have an original vintage Diana-F with the red window centered and at the bottom edge of the back of the camera. I just installed Kodak Portra 400, and I never saw any frame numbers in the red window. Help! Are the numbers not in the right place on Kodak film? Can I assume they are in the right place on Lomo film? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated so I can stop wasting money buying film that doesnt work. Thanks!
A: If you have the original (as opposed to the lomography remake), it might be a different story....and I am a complete newb & could be totally wrong here... but I think if you change it in the back from 12 to 16 (or vice versa) that may solve your problem? At least thats how I went about it. My pictures did turn out all wonky with overlapping frames however (but in a cool way that I loved and would attempt to do again haha). I did see the numbers though!
Q: 7. What are the SPECS and OVERVIEW of this product? Does it hold 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, 6x10, 6x12, and 6x17 negatives?
A: This holder is only suitable from 6x4.5cm to 6 x 12 cm negatives.
Q: 8. When will it be restocked?
A: Unfortunately we do not have any date of availability for this film. We suggest keeping an eye on this space for an announcement.
Q: 9. Can this scan panoramic photos? Also, can it scan including sprocket holes?
A: Yes, the Plustek 35mm Negative Film Holder for OpticFilm 120, B&H # PLFHOF120135, can scan 35mm panoramic film. The holders are not designed so sprocket holes can be scanned. That area is needed to ensure the film is held flat in the holder.
Q: 10. Do these masks scan the sprockets/film borders?
A: No, the Negative Supply Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2 does not scan the sprocket holes/boarder on film. This does for 35mm, https://bhpho.to/46BBKJJ.
