Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2 include the ability to scan negative borders/sprockets?

A: No, the Negative Supply Enthusiast Kit for 35mm Film Scanning with Basic Riser MK3 does not include a 35mm option for scanning the boarders and sprockets. However, you can purchase the Negative Supply 35mm Full Border Scanning Cassette listed in the accessories to obtain this look.

Q: 2. would it work on epson XP211 ?

A: No. You need a scanner capable of scanning film. The model you referenced is for reflective scans like paper and photos. You won't be able to scan film with your scanner.

Q: 3. Will this work for individual cut 6x8 and 6x9 negatives?

A: Yes it is compatible with a single negative. It has a Maximum Scan Area of 7.2 x 2.3" / 184 x 58 mm.

Q: 4. I usually cut 6x7 film into strips of 3 (with 1 extra frame at the end), but this will not fit in some holders if they are not open on one end for the film to extend out. Will this holder allow for a film strip that is wider than the holder without pinching/creasing it?

A: No, this Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask only has a scanning area of: 7.2 x 2.3 inches (184 x 58mm). While it does not define the frames individually, so you can scan overlapping exposures, doubles, triples, and panoramas. It does not allow anything larger than the given scanning area.

Q: 5. Will it work with Epson Perfection v750 Pro?

A: Yes, the Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask can work with an Epson Perfection V750 Pro.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Epson V800 scanner.?

A: Yes this should be compatible with the Epson V800

Q: 7. Will it work on the epson v550 ?

A: I use both the 35mm and 120 DigitaLIZA with my V500 scanner. The 120 version would work sometimes depending on exactly where I placed it on the scanner bed. The 35mm version would not work at all. I traced the Epson scan guides on to paper and them I made overlays from corrugated plastic board the allows me to place the DigitaLIZA exactly where it is supposed to be, every time. Cardboard would work just as well as the plastic board, but I thought the plastic board would last longer. Also, if you notice the original Epson guides, there are little holes arrange in different patterns along the center top of the guide. I don't know if those holes are essential, but using the plastic board I was able to drill small holes that exactly lined up with the holes in the Epson guide. Using my plastic board templates, I have scanned in multiple rolls of 120 and 35mm film with no issues at all. The negatives are exactly lined up each and every time.

Q: 8. The film boarder will show up with this?

A: Yes you can scan the border and even the sprocket holes using the Lomography DigitaLIZA 35mm Scanning Mask.

Q: 9. How many 6x7 films will it fit? If I have a strip of 6x7 film without cutting it, will it still be able to hold it without damaging it?

A: 2 frames will fit.

Q: 10. CAN THE HEIGHT OF THIS MASK BE ADJUSTED FOR FOCUSING?

A: No, the Lomography DigitaLIZA 120 Scanning Mask can not be changed to adjust the focusing.
