FSU Bundle is designed for experimental sound processing. The cards are based on the same algorithms and presets found in the FSU FX module and are designed to turn any input signal into something completely different. A 4th bonus card is a re-issue of Error Codes, one of the very first cards released to the public by a third party DSP programmer, Rolf Wöhrmann, who is now Waldorf Music CTO. The card's last algorithm has been altered by our own Chris Clepper to make it match the current version of the Z-DSP as well as the older ones.
FSU Bundle: Distort
- This bank distorts the incoming audio in various ways from emulations of analog tape and fuzz distortion to ring mod and frequency shifting.
- All of the programs in this bank are designed to work with the Mix set to 100% wet (full clockwise). Interesting effects can also be made with varying amounts of dry signal mixed in as well.
FSU Bundle: Glitch
- This bank of algorithms uses a variety of delay and pitch techniques to introduce glitches and warp the sound.
- Most of these work best with 100% wet output (Mix knob at full clockwise) to get the maximum glitchy effects. When the dry is mixed in they can also create types of chorus, delay and tremolo effects as well.
FSU Bundle: SOS
- The key to using these programs is to only grab shorter chunks of sound, which can be done manually, but an envelope generator (AR, ADSR) can help with controlling and triggering what is recorded.
- At the highest Fidelity there is only 1 second of memory but lowering the DSP clock increases the recording time and changes the pitch of the recording. Fidelity is pretty critical to these effects.
- These programs need to be set to 100% wet mix for maximum effects.
FSU Bundle: Error Codes (Free Card with FSU Bundle)
- Error Codes is a reissue of one of the first commercially available cards for the Z-DSP and is included as a bonus set of audio mangling effects to complement the FSU bundle.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How good is the reception when using between different buildings? Our office is located at the opposite end of our plant, approximately 200 yards.
A: In this case, we would recommend a high powered radio like the Midland BR200 or MB400 if you are trying to communicate from building to building across 200 yards as the buildings themselves will be an obstruction and make it difficult for the signal from this particular radio to penetrate the multiple walls.
Q: 2. how do you program the smaller digit on the radio frequency?
A: We can only guess the "smaller digit" you are referring to is the privacy code. Your radio has 121 Privacy Codes available to use in channels 1~22. The selected Privacy Code may be different for each channel. To select a Privacy Code for the current channel press the MENU button twice, and then the up/down buttons to select one of the 38 CTCSS Privacy Codes. Press the MENU button again and then the up/down buttons to select one of the 83 DCS Privacy Codes. The Privacy Code icon on the display will indicate whether you set your Privacy Code in CTCSS or DCS mode. To confirm the selection, press the PTT button or press the MENU button again to move to the next feature setting. Note : If you select a CTCSS Privacy Code, any pre-selected DCS Privacy Code will be cancelled and vice-versa. Selecting a Privacy Code of "oF" will disable the Privacy feature. To communicate between two radios, all radios in your group must be set to the same channel and/or Privacy Code selections. The Privacy Code can only be set in channels 1~22.
Q: 3. What is the diameter of the pin that slots into the clamping base?
A: The manufacturer has not specified diameter of the stem that fits into the C-clamp base for the 512 AUDIO 512-BBA Microphone Boom Arm.
Q: 4. can all 8 of these be programmed to the same channel or do they only function in pairs?
A: These radios can all be programmed together.
Q: 5. Why don't these say Chromalife 100+ anywhere on the box? Are they the old Chromalife inks, not the 100+?
A: The Canon PGI-250 & CLI-251 5-Cartridge Value Pack is not listed as having ChromaLife inks.
Q: 6. How many audio channels over USB are supported in class compliant mode? Can one route eg 32 channels from USB to Madi and then another 32 from adat to madi?
A: USB 2.0 (44.1 to 48 kHz): 64 in/out USB 2.0 (88.2 to 96 kHz): 32 in/out USB 2.0 (176.4 to 192 kHz): 24 in/out
Q: 7. Will this cartridge work for my Technics SL-Q350 turntable?
A: Yes. This will fit any turntable with a P-Mount stylus.
Q: 8. Likely a dumb question...but does this system allow up to eight people to communicate with each other? Four people? What would be the primary use of this system? What might be a better system for six to eight people in a large room to communicate with each other? Looking for something with a similar style ear-only headset. Thanks.
A: If you are looking for a headset solution for 8 people in 1 large space, B&H # EAHUB817 & BH #HOHLSC18S are our most popular solutions for that.
Q: 9. How many pixels is the camera???
A: The resolution of the Brinno BCC2000Plus Construction Trio Bundle Pack with Camera Extender Kit is 1080p.
Q: 10. how many headsets come with the kit?
A: A total of eight Midland AVP-H3 Surveillance Headsets come with this kit. They are sold in packs of two.
