Turn your modular system into a self-contained music machine with the Tiptop Audio RS808, a Eurorack module featuring the original 808 analog Rimshot/Claves sound generator. Adapting the circuit to the modular format has allowed for more variation and control.
The RS808 includes two switches that give a total of 4 different positions: two are the classic Rimshot and Claves sounds as found on the original, and two are unique to the RS808 module, adding a range of snappy click sounds the circuit is capable of producing. Additionally, two control knobs were added, each having a different effect for the selected sound. The module ships with a ribbon power cable.

- TR-808 analog Rimshot and Claves sound generator in Eurorack format
- Classic sound but with even more variation and control
- Two switches for a total of 4 different positions
- Two are the classic Rimshot/Claves sounds as found on the original
- Two are unique to the RS808 module, adding a range of snappy click sounds that the circuit is capable of producing
- Two control knobs were added, each having different effect for the selected sound. These controls can be categorized as Pitch and Snap, as they control the frequency of the oscillator and decay of the envelope generator
- Exact reproduction of the original circuit, which sounds like a fresh machine analog coming off the assembly line back in the '80s
- Compatible with all the other drums in this series, the RS808 includes a hot modular level output gain stage capable of producing signals that can be easily distorted if desired.
- On the inputs, Tiptop Audio designed a dual input pulse-shaper circuit, so you can trigger the SD808 with trigger/gate signals from your own step sequencer, clock dividers, or any other pulse/clock sources. This eliminates the need to shape pulses sent to the module and ensures the same stable sound at peak power regardless of your pulse source.
- All these unique features make integrating this legendary sound generator into your modular synth easy, unleashing the power of real analog drums.
- 4 HP Eurorack format module
- Maximum depth: 0.6" (14mm)
- Includes power ribbon cable with Eurorack power headers
- Power consumption: +12V: 14mA, -12V: 13mA

Q: 1. I have a Canon EOS 6D. I want a wireless intervalometer to do time-lapse, but want the ability to expand into external triggers in the future. If I buy a Captur Pro, will a Receiver Module do this or do I need the Transmitter/Receiver set? Or if I buy a Captur Timer for Canon now, would the Receiver part of it work with the Pro if I bought a Pro in the future? I dont quite understand how the Pro interfaces with the camera. Thanks
A: The needs for you are the receiver the pro module and the cable set. http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_cable_pack_for_canon/http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_canon_receiver/http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_module_pro/if you purchase the captur for canon or the timer kit for canon all pieces are needed to expand using the pro module.
Q: 2. Can I use "edelkrone Pan Pro" with the "edelkrone Sony NP-F Battery Bracket" ?
A: Although the Edelkrone Pan PRO comes with a Canon LP-E6 battery plate. the Edelkrone Power Module for V-Mount (or Gold Mount), could be used for additional power options. This is what Edelkrone suggests. https://bhpho.to/38R68rz
Q: 3. I understand the IR beam transmitter can be set to a high or low setting. Does the transmitter go into a low power stand-by mode when not being activated? For example, if this was set up over-night would the battery quickly drain? Thanks!James B.
A: I would recommend not keeping the device on while it is not in use.
Q: 4. Does it work with Pentax cameras?
A: it should but i don't have pentax camera
Q: 5. Can this or any other sensor be used to trigger video, not stills, on a Sony a7S or a7S2?
A: This is from the HAHNEL website:When it is used for camera remote control, the Captur mimics the action of the shutter button on the camera body. If it is possible to start/stop video recording using the shutter button on the camera body, then this can be done remotely also using the Captur. If video record start/stop is not possible using the shutter button, as is the case for most DSLRs, then it cannot be achieved by the Captur either.
Q: 6. has anyone tried this for fireworks or lightning? Also, to use this wireless on a nikon dslr, what other product(s) do i need? Thanks
A: Only used the laser to capture hummingbirds. Having a second tripod or guerrilla pod helps when you setup laser or infrared beams
Q: 7. hi, I would have, politely two pieces of information, the first if I can use Remote Control and Flash Trigger of cactus or yongnuo instead Hahnel Captur Remote Control and Flash Trigger ?The second piece of information is whether the cable, Impact Shutter Release Cable for Nikon Cameras with 10-Pin Connector, is suitable for nikon d810 ?thank youAntonio
A: Question 1. Not sure what you are asking but you can use the Hahnel to trigger either your flash or your shutter. I use pocket wizards with it to remotely trigger my shutter.
Q: 8. Will it work with the Pentax K-1?
A: No, it will not work with the Pentax K-1. The system is compatible for use with Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus/Panasonic cameras.
Q: 9. For sound triggering, can you adjust the sensitivity of this device? Also, can you set it to delay the shutter release after it detects the sound? If so, for how long and what increments? Thanks.
A: I have only used the Captur Pro once while target shooting so far but I intend to do so more often. I had some confusion about the sensitivity but that was more not reading the directions carefully first. The lower the number the less sensitive the unit will be and I needed to make sensitivity number very low to react only to the sound of discharge and not wind noise (it happened to be a very windy day and it took a while to get the right setting to compensate for wind moving over the unit). I don't remember exactly the delay setting I used but it was around one or two milliseconds. You will have to play with the timing. The movement of the slide mechanism is very fast but I was able to capture images of spent cartridges being discharged from the pistol. As a side note I also use the unit as a remote for my Canon 60D. The button between the Lock and the Start/Stop buttons is the remote trigger. Hold halfway and it focuses, press all the way down and activates the shutter. Also, as a bonus it works with my old Canon 20D. You have to order the cords separately but they are not very expensive. The other option is to order the remote controllers but I decided not to do that just yet. Hope this helps.
Q: 10. It says the Captur system is available separately. My wife bought me the Captur Module Pro for Christmas, but we can't find the Captur System. I have a Sony a7rII. What am I missing?
