This pairs very nicely with my new OMD EM1 mark ii. It is my first ball head, but I think it will give me what I need without additional bulk.

I've been using the stock tripod head on the Slik PRO 780DX tripod for five or six years now, mostly studio work. Recently, I realized just how insufficient it is for anything, except adding weight when I take the tripod into the field. My initial impression of the Sirui G-20X ball head is that it is like driving a Mercedes as opposed to a Yugo. Just a bit of studio work since getting it and the first thing I notice with it is how fluid ALL knob adjustments are. It has a lock knob for panning, a lock knob and a friction knob for ball adjustments and a knob for the camera quick release plate. The only term I can think of is the knobs feel hydraulic. The head is rated to 44 lbs., however, I haven't had anything heavier than a Canon T4i/battery grip and an EF-S 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 on it, yet. I have played with it to see if there is any creep in the unit when tightening knobs, there is none. This ball head is going to take a bit of getting used to as the stock Slik head had two big control arms which were easy to grab and make adjustments. That's where the ease ended, the friction parts stuck ALL the time making a fine adjustment out of the question. As a friend of mine would say, the adjustments on the Sirui G-20X ball head are slicker than deer guts on a door knob. I am a fan of the Sirui G-20X ball head. Its overall construction appears to be professional.

I recently took the plunge and finally got a proper tripod, ballhead and l bracket. I mated the G20X with a Feisol 3442 carbon fiber tripod and Kirk L bracket for my D800. The G20X is an incredible value. Lightweight, very sturdy and well built. I like the quality of the unit and the ease of setting up my shots. Smooth panning and other movements. Easily supports my camera and a 24-70 or 16-35 lens. You should definitely consider this ballhead for landscapes, seascapes and travel shooting.

the Sirui G20X is the first ball head I've every used, I can see any reason I would try any other brand. I used the head on a Benbo 2 tripod for some close-up shots. With the tension control knob it made fine adjustments very easy. The Siriu head is very solid with no creep. The only negative thing is the leveling bubble is covered when the camera is mounted, but is a very minor inconvenience. This is a very good product I would strongly recommend this brand to anyone-

It was a deal at $89, but I think still a great buy considering the alternatives which can be much pricier, but not necessarily better. This holds my Sony A7iii firmly with a tele lens, and the adjustments are smooth as glass. Great construction overall.

When I say simply perfect I am referring to the use of this excellent ball head with the camera equipment that I use. That is a Nikon D7100 with a variety of lenses up to a 70-300mm. It simply works perfectly. The 3 knob control permits any adjustment required to be made smoothly and effortlessly. The overall design of the product is ergonomically and esthetically beautiful. So much so that when not in use I keep it on my desk as a paperweight and conversation starter. If you are using similar equipment to mine the G-20X is an excellent choice.

I purchased this ball head to use on my small Manfrotto tripod which I use for travel. After looking at other heads in the same price range, I decided on the Sirui because it was the sturdiest head with the most features for the money. I particularly like the tension control and the separate pan control. Other heads in this range do not have these features. The head does have 2 small bubble levels, one on the QR plate and one on the QR knob. Overall build quality is excellent. It has a solid feel and the control knobs feel substantial. I use with my Nikon D300s, battery grip and long lens with excellent results.
