A: This camcorder has the ability to output HDMI at up to 4k 60fps. While there are many monitors that accept 4k, it tends to be at only up to 30fps, not 60fps. Even a monitor like the Atomos Shinobi only accepts 4k30fps through HDMI, BH #ATSHINSDI. Having to lower the output quality would be the norm with most monitors. Keep in mind that 5 - 7" on camera monitors may accept a 4K signal, but the screen itself will only be HD quality. There really is no loss to setting the output to 1080p, which you can do while keeping the recording quality internally at 4K.

Q: 8. can this be put on a regular camera tripod that is screwed in?

A: Yes, the BirdDog X1 PTZ Camera with 20x Zoom (White) has a 1/4 female screw attachment on the bottom of the camera for mounting, and attaching to most any tripod.
