After owning this case for nearly three years, I have to say the quality of the foam is phenomenal. It has never broken down to many pieces of foam dust, though I've seen a few specs here and there from rough handling. At last, I decided to upgrade to the dividers interior with all the changing gear I'm getting. The foam doesn't let me change with easy and with the dividers, I can store so much more equipment. Nothing against the foam though. It is the BEST protection. If you have something in there you know will most likely never change (i.e. glass, lenses), get the foam. But I store lots of other camera gear and accessories I'm changing every few years if not every year so the dividers made more sense to me. All in all, the foam is excellent. Should last a lifetime. I'm still using the case though. A few scratches on the surface but still as strong and water tight as the day I got it.

All the gear I can fit in this sucker amounts to over $3000, so spending $to for the peace of mind knowing that it is all %100 protected is worth it enough. Pelican has an incredible reputation and great customer service. I've been looking for something to organize my gear with and this indestructible waterproof, airtight, mini bomb shelter, did the trick. The only little tiny thing that's a bit annoying is the weight, it does weigh a bit much when its full but honestly I can deal with that for the amount of protection it gives.

Not much to say about a case, but it is as solid and well made as I have come to expect from a Pelican case. Other than the fact that the no-foam version wasn't available in orange, I have no complaints.

I'm using it to keep various items dry (with desiccant packs) from the constant humidity.

If what you're carrying needs to arrive intact and functional, then eventually you'll realize that you should have bought a Pelican case. Tough beyond what you'd expect, secure and roomy, it's the case you buy once and never worry about again. I'm using mine to haul special electronic equipment around, and I don't worry about checking it in luggage or tossing it into the back of a pickup truck in the rain. The stuff inside stays dry and safe. The only problem I have is that I forgot to buy a replacement foam insert for it when I changed the contents over to a new device - it was not that big a deal to re-order foam for it. It's also not lightweight - you'll build some arm muscles hauling this around, but I don't mind that too much.

I was able to fit my Canon C100 all the accessories and still had room for my redrockmicro cage and follow focus! Great quality case also! Worth the money!
