Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I work at a photo lab and today I got two rolls of this kind of film. The emulsion is on the wrong side. Every roll of 35mm film I've ever seen has the darker, smoother side on the outside or in other words the same side as the print on the canister it sits in, these rolls I developed today had the emulsion facing the wrong way. Is this film always like this? I have personally shot a roll of the purple lomo and it is oriented the same way as all the other 35mm films I have seen. Is this a fluke or intentional? If it's intentional what would be the purpose for it to be that way? Thanks.

A: It's purposefully rolled that way. The film is redscale because you're shooting through the back of the film.

Q: 2. Where are people getting this film developed?

A: The Cinestill 800Tungsten Xpro C-41 35mm Color Negative Film can be processed in a C-41 process, which is standard for color film development, and most film labs will be able to develop this film for you.

Q: 3. Does this fil work with any traditional film camera

A: Yes. Works well with any traditional 35mm camera.

Q: 4. Is this film DX coded?

A: Yes, the Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is DX coded.

Q: 5. What's the difference between color plus and gold/ultramax?

A: The main difference between the two options is the Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures), B&H # KO20036CP, is a medium-speed film and has an ISO rating of ISO 200, while the Kodak GC/UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures), B&H # KOGC36, is a high-speed film and has an ISO rating of ISO 400. If you are shooting in bright light (or if you will be pushing/pulling your film for overexposure/underexposure), you may wish to use the ColorPlus 200, while if you are shooting sports or shooting in slightly lower light, the UltraMax 400 would be a better option for your usage needs.

Q: 6. Could you reduce price for high quantity?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot. The prices we have listed for film are the best that we can offer.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the kodak color plus 100 ?

A: The Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is very much like the ColorPlus 100 film. It is one stop better in low light at 200 vs 100 iso.

Q: 8. Can be processed with D76 developer?

A: Yes you can process this film using D76.

Q: 9. Will this film work with a Canon AE-1 program Camera?

A: Yes, the Kodak GOLD 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film) will work with the Canon AE-1 Program Camera.

Q: 10. What is the expiry date of the film currently for sale in your store or in your inventory?

A: We are unable to provide expiration dates for the film we sell online or in store. However, we do not sell film within 6 months of its expiration date.

When these came back in stock, I had to splurge and get a few for the holidays - great grain, lovely warm tones, and an amazing value per shot w/the rolls of 36.

I'm teaching myself with the help of photography books how to properly use and enjoy my Cannon film camera. I mainly take photos of my model horses (yes I know, sounds strange) and I haven't been unhappy with the results yet. For the price I can honestly say I love the way my photos turn out. Will definitely be buying more.

One of my favorite film emulsions because it's cheap and beautiful. That's all there is to it! Even though it was backordered, B&H always gives thorough details about arrival dates and what's happening with the order!

Gold 200 is my go-to. I'm not a huge fan of portrait (gasp, I know) and I find a lot of Kodak stocks are either too cool or too saturated for me. This project, ESPECIALLY for the dirt cheap price, is great. It's not perfect, but it has lovely warm tones, doesn't exaggerate colors too much, and does well in outside sunny conditions especially.

Love this film and its price too! 36 exposures 3-pack is hard to find in a lot of camera stores and retails. I hoar it when it's back in stock at BH.
