Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello... Will these work on the new Olympus OM-D EM1 Mark II ?

A: They work fine with the Olympus OM-D EM1 Mark I and Mark II. Just remember these are not TTL units - the flash needs to be on Manual and the shutter speed should not exceed the standard flash sync speed - 1/250 sec.

Q: 2. I have 7Dmark II and Canon flash. Can I use this items with my canon flash

A: Yes, you can user this kit but the flash will only work in manual. If you want the flash to work in E-TTL you need to a different flash sync system. This is a few of them if you do prefer the flash to work in E-TTL, 1. Godox X1C TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Set for Canon B&H # GOX1C MFR # X1C https://bhpho.to/2sRlO4p 2. Vello FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL Triggering System Kit with Additional Receiver for Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II Cameras B&H # VEVCTTLCK MFR # VCTTL-CRK https://bhpho.to/2cAMsch

Q: 3. can it work with regular monolights?

A: Yes. It comes with an 1/8 cable that plugs into your monolight.

Q: 4. Will this work with a sony a7rii and alien bees b800

A: While the Vello Freewave LR system does work with the Alien Bees monolights, the transmitter in that system does not work with Sony cameras that utilize the Multi-Interface Shoe. A better option is to use the Godox X1T-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter for Sony, B&H # GOX1TS on your Sony camera and the Godox X1R-S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver for Sony, B&H # GOX1RS on each Alien Bees monolight. https://bhpho.to/2S49A3Q https://bhpho.to/2X0htLn

Q: 5. will this work with Olympus 900r and 600r flashes ?? J. Payne

A: Yes, it is possible to use the Vello FreeWave LR Receiver with the Olympus FL-900R Electronic Flash and the Olympus FL-600R Flash mounted to the hot shoe on the bottom of the flashes listed above. However, do note that you would also need the Vello FreeWave LR Wireless Flash Trigger on the camera's hot shoe, and the transmitter is not sold by itself. As such, if you do not already own the transmitter, it would be better to purchase the Vello FreeWave LR Wireless Flash Trigger and Receiver Kit, B&H # VERFWLR, or the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers, B&H # VERFWLRK, both which include the transmitter in the kit. Do note that these transmitters are fully manual, so you would have to set your flash output power manually as TTL automatic output is not compatible for use with the Vello FreeWave LR radio remotes.

Q: 6. Will this work with Leica M digital cameras?

A: I am not sure. I shoot Nikon, but they work perfectly and every time. i can trust them.

Q: 7. can these be used in conjunction with the wr-10 system on a d850?

A: I use mine with a Nikon D7100, I am sure it will work on on the D850 as long as it has a flash hot shoe. These units only trigger flash units, No TTL information transferred, you must use flash in manual mode only.

Q: 8. is this compatable with the vello freewave fusion pro?

A: No

Q: 9. Will this receiver work with Pocket Wizards? Seems to be the same frequency.

A: No, the Vello FreeWave LR Receiver, B&H # VERFWLRR, would not be compatible for use with PocketWizard remotes. You cannot interchange remotes between different manufacturer brands, even if they have the same frequency. But for the record, the Vello FreeWave LR Receiver operates on 2.4 GHz frequency, while PocketWizard remotes operate on 340 to 354 MHz or 344 MHz radio frequency.

Q: 10. Wanting to use on my OM-D E-M5 II, but to trigger my Canon speed lights. I have 2 600EX-RT's. As long as the speed lights are manual mode, will it trigger them? and would the speed lights need to be set to any sort of slave mode?

A: Use the speed lights in manual, connect each speed light to the Vello receiver, put the trigger on your camera's hotshe make sure the trigger and receiver are on the same channel and shoot away. there is no TTL and the speed lights need not be in any slave mode. This is manual setting only. Use a light meter if need be to determine exposure and you should be fine.
