The dark bronze M 940 Studio Condenser Microphone with EA 93 Shockmount from Microtech Gefell is a supercardioid microphone that combines a large-diaphragm capsule with semi-conductor circuit technology. It can be used to capture audio in broadcast, project, home, and professional studios and is well suited for use on a wide range of sources including singers, speakers, keyboards, strings, wind instruments, and more.

The condenser microphone capsule delivers a smooth frequency response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz with a slight elevation from 7 to 11 kHz for additional presence. Its supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture narrowly in front of the microphone, picking up less bleed from other instruments and on-stage monitors and helping to substantially reduce feedback when sound reinforcement equipment is used. The transformerless circuit design provides for very-low self-noise for clean, distortion-free sound over a wide dynamic range. To reduce sensitivity to mechanical impact and structure borne noise, the microphone capsule and electronics are elastically suspended inside the compact metal housing. The included EA 93 shockmount helps to further isolate the mic from vibrations and handling noise.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The grill looks similar on both sides. If I wanted to use this mic as a drum overhead, how should I position it? Which side would face downward?

A: With large condenser mics u would point it with whatever side has either the logo or the cardioid pattern symbol on it.

Q: 2. Does a Rode NT1000 large diaphragm microphone requires phantom power turned on in a mixer?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 3. After recording with this mic can you hear background noise? and by background noise I mean the staticy noise you can hear in the background.

A: If there is background noise, it is not coming from the mic.

Q: 4. I purchased this mic a year ago and it has given me hollow mono sound. Am I doing something wrong?

A: The Samson C01UCW is a mono microphone. A hollow sound can be caused by several factors. Condenser mics are very sensitive, and will be affected by room reflections and reverbaration. If you are using the mic in a large room with reflective walls it may cause this type of sound. Many times just by relocation the mic or even turning it slightly may improve your sound. You can also look into purchasing a reflection filter which will effectively cut down on the amount of indirect signal to the mic. a href= http://bhpho.to/1x7rIsB target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1x7rIsB/a

Q: 5. does it work with mac?

A: The Samson C01USB mic is plug and play with both Mac and Windows operating systems.

Q: 6. Does it come with a case?

A: The Samson C01U will ship with a Storage Bag.

Q: 7. What type of USB-C cable does this need? I've tried a bunch of other USB-C cables and only the one that was included works.

A: You should be able to use a USB cable like the Pearstone USB 2.0 Type-C to USB Type-A Charge & Sync Cable - 6' (B&H # PEUSB3CMAM6) as a replacement for the original USB cable included with the TASCAM TM-250U Supercardioid USB Type-C Condenser Microphone. Be sure to set up your computer's Audio Input and Audio Output preferences so that the audio from the TM-250U is recognized and that you can monitor the audio through the mic's built-in 3.5mm headphone jack.

Q: 8. Can this be used for karoke?

A: Through a computer you could....it just becomes a mic.

Q: 9. Can I connect this to my phone using bluetooth?

A: No, the Tascam TASCAM TM-250U Supercardioid USB Type-C Condenser Microphone requires USB to supply power.

Q: 10. How can I use the mic,? I connected but no function

A: This is a condenser mic and needs phantom power from the mixer/pre-amp. If it does not work with it, then the product must be defective. With phantom power it should work
