Stream high-resolution video from your SDI camera using this Ultra Encode SDI Universal Encoder from Magewell. This compact encoder allows you to input resolutions up to 2K via the 3G-SDI port, encode to H.264/H.265 codecs, then stream via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to a variety of IP destinations such as Facebook Live, Twitch, and YouTube.

The encoder features analog input and output as well as the option to add USB modems for 4G/5G streaming from anywhere around the globe. It supports multiple streaming protocols, including RTSP, RTMP, SRT, NDI|HX2, and RTP, and it supports simultaneous dual streams from SD to 2K for main and sub streams. It also supports captions, timecode, and it can be remotely controlled via a web browser. The unit can be mounted using the included T-bracket with a 1/4"-20 thread or with its two M3 threads.

A: While we have not used this equipment, we see no reason it will not work as you wish. Keep in mind he camera cannot output 4K over HDMI, only HD.

Q: 4. I'm having audio issues. Ideas why?

A: Not if you intend on sending a 4K signal. The 4K on the BMPCC camera is only internal... the output of the camera is HD only.

Q: 7. I am trying to use this with the ATEM studio switcher and connect it with the program out sdi of the switcher. But the sdi cable that the magwell comes with would not fit the ATEM switcher. Do you know what kind of cable I need?

A: You need to use a short sdi cable with bnc connectors. I use it with the same setup as yours and works fine.

A: That is not possible. This will first need to connect to a computer.

A: Yes it will. The Magewell will embed the audio from the 3.5mm microphone input into the SDI output.

I love this device. I use it with Webex and Vmix, to allow us to connect professional cameras. It is rock solid. Works every time. I recently purchased a second capture device from another manufacturer, because it was $100 cheaper. Big mistake. The other device locked up constantly, and eventually stopped working entirely. I learned my lesson. Magewell's card is well worth the money! 5
