Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you attach a 2nd pan bar to this new model?

A: The Sachtler 75/2 Mark II Carbon Fiber Tripod System with Ace XL Head & Mid-Level Spreader does not have a rosette in order to mount a second pan bar. The Sachtler 75/2 Mark II Carbon Fiber Tripod System with FSB 4 Fluid Head & Ground Spreader, BH #SA0381C, does have a second rosette which would allow for a 2nd pan bar.

Q: 2. Does it come with a bag?

A: A bag is not included with the Sachtler Flowtech 75 MS Carbon Fiber Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet.

Q: 3. Is this trippd waterproof?

A: The Sachtler Flowtech 75 MS Carbon Fiber is not waterproof.

Q: 4. Will a geared center column like the Gitzo GS531GS or the Leofoto GC-364C be compatible with this tripod to use for photography?

A: The 75mm bowl of the Sachtler Flowtech 75 MS Carbon Fiber Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet will not allow the use of the mentioned center columns.

Q: 5. Is it okay to use this legs in let say small water or a small river ? Only quarter bottom of the legs inside the water , not full legs .

A: I have used extensively for wildlife shoots in harsh conditions such as fresh water and streams. I have had no problems. I have not let sticks get buried deep in river mud. I have used on saltwater sea shores, but have always done good rinses before salt dries and turns to crystals. No problems.

Q: 6. Can you put the old Sachtler FSB6 75mm sideload head on this pod?

A: As long as the head is compatible with a 75mm bowl, then the pairing will work.

Q: 7. Can i use manfrotto plate to this tripod? i want to quick release to my manfrotto monopod and Glidecam HD2000!!

A: yes, plate of Manfrotto 502 or 504 will work

Q: 8. Has anyone tried mounting a slider on it? does it have any substantial flex? and how does it compare to the Manfrotto 535 and 536 in terms of stiffness and stability?

A: This is a surprisingly stable tripod. The first time I took it in the field my producer thought it was a weird, cheap thing until he saw the Sachtler branding. Once the legs are locked, they stiffen and feel as solid as a set of Sachtler speedlocks. I will say, with the spreader attached, it feels rather narrow. Depending on the load, I would have liked the legs to spread more. To answer your question, in comparison to the flex/stability of the Manfrotto legs, it is as stabile as them, albeit without the spread of those legs in terms of width. This was an upgrade for me from the Manfrotto 546B Legs. No regrets thus far

Q: 9. do the legs have a bubble level?

A: The Sachtler Flowtech 75 MS Carbon Fiber Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet, does not feature a bubble level. Bubble levels are built into the Sachtler heads instead.

Q: 10. What are the collapsed dimensions? I'm looking for a hard case that will fit two of these, (with some padding so they are damaged).

A: Folded Length 26.8" / 68 cm
