A: The Sachtler 75/2 Mark II Carbon Fiber Tripod System with Ace XL Head & Mid-Level Spreader does not have a rosette in order to mount a second pan bar. A: Probably depends on the weight of your camera. My camera is much too heavy for the head to hold steady in the zero counterbalance setting. The counterbalance and drag must be properly adjusted for mine to hold it's position hands free. I believe the design also requires the performance an initial near full range of tilt in order to engage the mechanism. Hope this helps.
