The satin nickel M 950 Studio Condenser Microphone with EA 93 Shockmount from Microtech Gefell is a wide-cardioid microphone that combines a large-diaphragm capsule with semi-conductor circuit technology. It can be used to capture audio in broadcast, project, home, and professional studios and is well suited for use on a wide range of sources including singers, speakers, keyboards, strings, wind instruments, and more.
The condenser microphone capsule delivers a smooth frequency response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz with a slight elevation from 7 to 11 kHz for additional presence. Its wide-cardioid polar pattern provides a forgiving pickup pattern allowing the mic to effectively capture sound from larger instruments and small ensembles. The transformerless circuit design provides for very-low self-noise for clean, distortion-free sound over a wide dynamic range. To reduce sensitivity to mechanical impact and structure borne noise, the microphone capsule and electronics are elastically suspended inside the compact metal housing. The included MH 93.1 microphone holder allows you to easily attach the M 950 to a microphone stand.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can you tell me what are the differences between the Silver and Exclusive Black ones?
A: The color is the only difference between the two mics
Q: 2. latency?
A: When using headphones connected directly to the C)!U Pro you will receive a mix of the direct signal that the microphone is picking up with zero latency and the return audio from your software. When direct monitoring is disabled you are hearing return of all signal from your software and latency will depend on the computer specs and settings. With the speed and efficiency of currently available processors, latency is rarely an issue.
Q: 3. I'm in university and I want to get a mic to attach to my laptop to record class lectures discreetly. There will be some room noise. Is this a good mic for my purpose?
A: The Samson C01U is a condenser mic designed for vocal recording at a close distance. It is very sensitive and will pick up surroundings or any movements on the surface it is placed on. This mic is also rather large at almost 9 inches in height and 3 in width. The Go mic is designed for laptop use an would be a solid recommendation. https://bhpho.to/2hWJz8Q
Q: 4. Is, or will this mic be available in black?
A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. Currently, this microphone is only available in Silver. I have not heard of any other plans to release differing colors, but will express your interest to my team! If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James (Product Specialist)

A: The Samson C01USB mic is plug and play with both Mac and Windows operating systems.
Q: 6. Can this be used for karoke?
A: Through a computer you could....it just becomes a mic.
Q: 7. Is there an adapter so I can plug this mic into XLR device instead of USB ?
A: The C01U Pro outputs digital audio via USB to a computer only. Unfortunately no way to adapt to XLR or other analog audio connection.
Q: 8. "You can power the mic with 48V phantom power." This sentence is in the description for this product. I don't understand. Is it necessary to buy an additional accessory to use this mic?
A: In order to use this mic, you will need a mixer, interface, or hardware recorder with an XLR mic input, and the ability to provide 48v phantom power. As well, you would need an XLR mic cable to connect it to either of those sources, a mic stand to attach it to, and a pop filter if recording vocals.
Q: 9. Does this mic come with any stand?
A: Yes it does: In the Box:Samson C01UCW USB Condenser MicrophoneStorage BagSwivel MountUSB CableTripod StandSoftware CDLimited 2-Year Warranty
Q: 10. Hi, does this mic has a headphone jack? Thank you.
A: Unfortunately the Samson C01 U does not feature a headphone jack. Samson does offer the C01U Pro however which has upgraded electronics which allows for a cleaner recording, especially in softer speech applications, and a headphone jack for monitoring.
