Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can this battery be charged via the d-tap?

A: Yes, the Core SWX Nano XL 178Wh Mini Li-Ion Battery (Gold Mount) does allow D-Tap charging. Charger idea: Core SWX 1.5A Single-Position D-Tap Charger BH #COPB70C15US • MFR #PB70C15US

Q: 2. Can this charge batteries larger than 98Wh? Like the Core SWX Helix XL 293Wh Dual-Voltage Battery (Gold Mount)?

A: Yes, The Core SWX Mach4 4-Position Charger with 4A Rapid Charger will allow charging of Gold Mount batteries over 98wh. It would support the Helix XL 293wh GM battery as well.

Q: 3. Is there any downside to using this rather than a normal charger? Other than possibly a slower charge?

A: The only downside is it would not be as fast a charger that you dock the battery on. But beyond that, this works great.

Q: 4. Will the Core SWX XL battery charge on a older Anton Bauer charger?

A: Older Anton Bauer chargers like the Anton/Bauer TWIN Simultaneous Charger for Gold Mount Batteries can be an issue with third-party batteries like the Core SWX Nano XL 178Wh Mini Li-Ion Battery (Gold Mount) because of the chip communication the charger has before charging. A newer charger like the Anton/Bauer GM2 Dual-Bay Charger with 4-Pin XLR Output (Gold Mount) is much more forgiving with third-party batteries. See the link below: https://bhpho.to/3sxixuo

Q: 5. What would be a good power inverter for charging on the go in a vehicle?

Q: 6. Can this charger be used for a pro-x powerbase 70 baterry?

Q: 7. Does this deflector plate (2040-DP) is for the Rapid Box Duo 32 or is the (2030-DP)?

A: Given the size of the octal box you are purchasing, I would buy the 2040-DP. I own the Rapid Octa for my profoto light and it's 36 . I also own the rapid box 26 Octa with the 2030-DP plate for my Canon 600 speedlites. That plate would be too small for the Duo 32 . Get the 2040-DP.. Good Luck.

Q: 8. Can the Leica Drop XL unit charge a Q3 camera without the HG-DC1 handgrip attached?

A: No, you need Leica HG-DC1 Wireless Charging Handgrip to charge the Q3 wirelessly.

Q: 9. How long would this take to charge the Core SWX Nano Micro 50?

A: A Core SWX Nano Micro 50 battery should take approximately 2-2.5 hours to charge with the Core SWX 1.5A Single-Position D-Tap Charger.

Q: 10. What is the difference between this model and the single position version for $35?

A: The Core SWX PB70C15 D-Tap Wall Charger (B&H# COPB70C15) is capable of charging the Hypercore Prime batteries whereas the Core SWX 1.5A Single-Position D-Tap Charger (B&H# COPB70C15US) is not. The Core SWX PB70C15 D-Tap Wall Charger (B&H# COPB70C15) also features circuitry which is more robust and creates less electromagnetic interference (EMI).
