That is the same type of perspective distortion you get with a very wide lens in the corners. Regarding panning a distortion you may see is called the jello effect or also rolling shutter. That is because the camera does not read the whole image at once, but reads it up and down line by line. That is not related to the lens though but the camera. Rolling shutter distortion is greater when panning fast. There is less rolling shutter distortion when you pan slowly.
