Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a CB-50D ballhead with a standard Feisol clamp head. The safety pin is off to the right. Will the camera QP-40 plate be centered when attached to the quick release clamp plate ?

A: Yes, the QP-40 plate will fit perfectly in the CB-50D head.

Q: 2. How many frames?

A: The Flic Film Vision3 250D Cine Film (35mm Roll Film) has 36 frames.

Q: 3. Is their a film this is chemically similar to, so I can know how long to develop?

A: Other ISO 400 films will react in a similar manner to Flic Film UltraPan 400 (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures)--you should check the developer you use for a development times table.

Q: 4. How many exposures does this film roll have available to be shot?

A: The Flic Film Vision3 200T Cine Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) contains 36 exposures.

Q: 5. Would this work with a Pentax 6x7 medium format film camera?

A: This would be compatible with a Pentax 6x7.

Q: 6. What is the temperature range of the controller? Can it maintain 68 F, for black and white processing?

A: The manufacture does not list the temperature the heater works with but it is for processing so the Flic Film Precision Temperature Water Bath should be fine for regulating at 68 F. But note it does not have a cooler only a heater. So if the room you are in is over 68 degrees that could be an issue.

Q: 7. Will this just screw right on my FLM CB24?

A: No. the thread on your CG24 is 1/4"/20. The thread on the SRB40 is 3/8"/16 . But you can make it fit easily by using an adapter bushing. A good one would be B&H # WIBS100.

Q: 8. About the prints, How long does it last before fading ?

A: Instax prints will not fade any faster than any other kind of photograph if they are stored properly. However, storing these prints properly requires slightly more care than regular photographs. For starters, you should try to store them in dark spaces. Putting them in frames on the wall will make them fade faster than if you keep them in the dark. You also need to let images dry for a few weeks before you store them and make sure you’re only touching the white edges, not the picture itself. If possible, you should store your photos on their backs rather than on their sides.

Q: 9. Will this clamp modify a FLM CB-32 head to have a Quick Disconnect system?

A: Hi,Yes it will, but you should observe that the safety pin is for FLM plates and not necessarily compatible with other Area-Swiss plates. I own a RSS L-plate for the Oly OM-D E-MII and the pin is annoying. Perhaps the pin could be knocked out. You could also consider a RSS QR instead. Google that combination. Either way you should apply a locking glue to keep it securely in place. FLM has a guide for that.

Q: 10. Is this chemistry for movie films like 250D or 500T?

A: Yes, the Flic Film ECN-2 8-Roll Home Processing Kit (0.5L) is the correct development kit for all Kodak Vision 3 cinema films.

It was just what i needed, it may be a little short but i had no issues with it and got good results with it

Great length, and can work as either a bulb or a timed mode, which is great, I didn't expect that. It also looks very nice too, which is a plus!

Does it's job very well. I'd advise getting more than one because ALL release cables eventually fail.

A perfect little cable release for cheap. It does feel a tiny bit flimsy because it was so cheap but I can't complain!

Nice length for the cord, it's super easy to use and screws into most cameras! It has helped a lot with night time photography and longer exposures. Probably just human error but if you press it down make sure the small silver tab is screwed tight otherwise you may hold the exposure a little longer than what you intend. But we all live and learn! Anyways a great standard cable release for any film camera's I'll always recommend this one!

Don't let the low cost fool you, this is an excellent cable.

Not a lot can go wrong here. Have used it once. As far as I know, the item is not exuding invisible toxic gasses.

I started experimenting with film astro-photography and this has been so useful. Great price and good quality - if you are debating, just go ahead and buy it!
