Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a neewer fc-16? I already own a neewer 750II flash and the transmitter and receiver

A: No, the Neewer Q3 TTL Flash Strobe Kit with QPRO-N Trigger for Nikon does not work with the Neewer fc-16.

Q: 2. Why does the mfgr website say this has a guide number of 58, not 190?

A: In such a situation, the manufacturer's website takes precedence. Thus the guide number is indeed 58. I have alerted the B&H Web department. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience.

Q: 3. Will my Canon ST-E3-RT trigger this strobe?

A: No, the Neewer Q4 TTL Flash Strobe supports the Canon system using their camera trigger made for Canon cameras such as the Neewer QPRO-C TTL Wireless Trigger for Canon (B&H # NE66602729).

Q: 4. Does this work as a master for Godox wireless flashes?

A: Due to a different firmware on different brands I would suggest to stay in Godox eco system and use https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341866-REG/godox_v860ii_f_sony_kit_v860ii_for_sony_kit.html which is the same price as Newer Z760-S TTL.

Q: 6. Compatible with Godox transmitter?

A: No, the Neewer Q4 TTL Flash Strobe is not compatible for use with Godox-branded wireless transmitters. You would have to purchase the Neewer QPRO TTL Wireless Triggers designed for use with the above light fixtures. The available options for Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras are listed on the link included below. https://bhpho.to/3NpAHGi

I am a student at AI of Phx and we were informed to get a good digital flash for our lighting class. Now my teacher had a list of what flashes are the best to get for our Canons Rebel T2i and of course the Canons flashes were at the top of the list and so were the prices. Being a student, money isn't growing on trees. So I purchased this flash because of the price but once I had it and being using it. I am very happy, it's easy to use. My teacher just raves about it as well. So thank you B&H for having it in stock and for the price a student like me can afford.

Very pleased with Sunpak product. Using units as off camera flashes for real estate and portrait photography. Also good for on camera TTL flash work. ...

I purchase this flash to replace a previous SunPak unit. Take it for what is worth, I work on a wedding video production company and we have gear from Canon flashes to SunPak. This flash perform very well in Auto Mode, but out Shines when you use it adjusting the power setting and Ev compensation to your heart content. The only draw back is the old style selection menu, which force you to cycle trough options. Other than that I can stress the fact you can beat the price vs performance. It also has a nice feature which is the wide angle diffuser which it gives a soft punch and cover the entire frame on a wide angle shot. It also has a APC-S or Full frame option for TTL output. The plastic case seems flimsy but hey for what you pay and you know this is not a toy and like any camera gear you need to take care of it.

I know next-to-nothing about flashes, and yet it seems to work great with my Canon Rebel XSi. How cool is it that there's a little motor or something inside that moves the flashy part in and out based on your focal length? Okay, I'm a little bit confused because the focal length on the flash's display doesn't match the length that I'm zoomed to - I'm guessing maybe that's a sensor-size issue? Anyway, if you just set it on full-auto and don't look at the screen, you're golden.

It probably doesn't deserve 5 stars, but some guy said it didn't work with his Nikon, gave it a zero and sent it back. Rubbish. I bought the PZ42X along with the Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce 600. Works terrific on my Nikon D-90. Even light without glare and fast recycle. Rated for over 250 shots on 4 AA NiMH batteries. If you're a PRO, or don't care about price, get the Nikon SB-900.

Lots of features, like the fact that you can go all the way down to 1/64 power. Swivel is neat; I never had a flash that did that before.

I purchased this as a secondary flash. My main is a Canon 580 EX II. I use this for fill or background, triggered from simple PC cords. The build is definitely cheaper, and the swivelling head does not have a lock button to it (i.e. you just twist the head and then it clicks into position). It is much smaller and much lighter than the Canon, but it is a powerful flash. I haven't used ETTL much with it, but from the few test shots I did do, it was pretty consistent. As expected, at a low price, it does miss some features that are available in higher end flashes: 1) 1/3 stop changes in flash power 2) high speed sync 3) multistrobe For a beginner or budget flash, or a secondary flash, I would recommend this product. If I continue to be strapped for cash, I would buy another so I would have 3 flashes total: main, background, fill.

I use this flash with my Sony A700 and wow is it a great flash. I'm very pleased at how the flash works seamlessly with the camera. It is also very quite and it recycles very quickly. It gets a little heavy after awhile but what flash wouldn't. It is great for the price. ...
