This GREATLY increases the storage space for cameras, lenses, etc. I have had no problems with 20 plus airlines as I always bring this case on board the plane and store it in the overhead bin. I also like the fact that you can lock the case in hotel (with locks not provided but cheap) with a steal cable (also not provided) so valuable items are protected in the hotel room when you are not present.
