This first layer is a fleece outdoors jacket ideal for chilly fall or spring days. It is cut longer than other similar-style fleece jackets to help keep you warm. Additionally, this jacket can transfer moisture from the interior to the exterior, helping you stay comfortable when sweating.

This fleece jacket has eight pockets when you count the included mini photo bag. There are two front large, zippered pockets and one pocket for a microfiber cleaning cloth in the left sleeve. The mini photo bag is made solely from mesh fabric.

The second layer of this jacket is a padded, hooded jacket to help you stay warm on chilly days. This jacket can be worn by itself in dry weather and or you can zip it into the outer jacket on rainy days. Connect the sleeves and the hood to the outer jacket with buttons and eyelets. This jacket is cut slightly longer than other similar-style jackets but remains hidden under the outer jacket.

There are eight pockets in this jacket when counting the included mini photo bag. There are two large front zippered pockets and one microfiber cloth pocket in the left sleeve. The mini photo bag has waterproof PU fabric to protect your electronic gear from water.

The third layer of the 7-in-1 Photography Jacket Parka Pro is a waterproof, windproof, and scratch-resistant outdoor jacket with a water column of more than 10,000mm. It is made from treated outdoor fabric and has a polyurethane membrane and taped seams. There are zips underneath the sleeves that can be used for additional ventilation. This jacket also has a large two-way YKK zipper. Better protect yourself from wind with the wind stoppers built into the wrists. You can also tighten the sleeves with built-in hook-and-loop fabric. The front side of the hood is reinforced and cut longer to help protect your camera and viewfinder in inclement conditions. Additionally, you can tighten the hood with elastic bands. The neck of the hood is also lined with soft fleece for extra warmth and comfort. Double-layered front pockets give you extra storage options.

There are 13 pockets on this outer jacket when you count the five in the included mini photo bag. There are two chest pockets, two large bottom pockets with hook-and-loop closures designed for filters up to 100x150mm, two large bottom pockets with side access, one inside pocket on the top left for slim items, and one pocket in the left sleeve with an elastic strap and metal clip for a lens cleaning cloth.

Photographers have worn the Haukland 7-in-1 jacket from anywhere around 77 °F in the rainforests of Costa Rica to -4°F in Finland, as well as in winds over 60mph. This Parka Pro version is designed to keep you warm in even colder temperatures.

Each jacket layer comes with a mini photo bag. There are two small compartments for memory cards and one for small batteries. Below these compartments are two large pockets for more batteries, smartphones, power banks, wallets, and more.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens?

A: Yes, the Ruggard DSLR Parka Cold and Rain Protector for Cameras and Camcorders (Black) (B&H# RUPACLBV2) can handle any Canon DSLR or mirrorless photographic camera currently made (as of December 2021) with the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens (B&H# CA70300ISII) mounted on it. (The mirrorless camera would presumably have an adapter on it as well.)

Q: 2. does it work with the nikon 200-500mm lens?

A: This does work with the Nikon 200-500mm lens.

Q: 3. Will this fit a 1Dx?

A: It fits my Nikon D5 and 200mm f2.8 lens.

Q: 4. how does it behave in the sun? overheats the camera?

A: This is made to retain heat on the camera in colder conditions. Since the surface is black, the heat will be absorb in bright sunlight and warmer conditions, which could damage the camera.

Q: 5. Does this work for the Sony A7iv

A: The Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera with up to 400mm lenses attached will fit in the Ruggard DSLR Parka Cold and Rain Protector for Cameras and Camcorders (Black).

Q: 6. Will this fit a Sony PXW X70?

A: This Rain Protector will not fit the Sony PXW-X70. Something like Porta Brace QRS-X70 would be better suited for this camera.

Q: 7. Use of cotton batting concerns me because cotton is rotten if it gets wet; wish it were Thinsulate, Holofil, etc. How water-resistant is the shell in rain or wet snow?

A: I sprayed it with additional waterproofer but honestly havent used it yet. I dont think there isanything that will keep our gear completely dry. Its well made and one can operate camera pretty easily with it on. If it completely fails (i dont expect that) it will be a wonderful handwarmer. I may try it for a very cold football game just for the hand warming factor

Q: 8. Does this help prevent condensation on lenses in very cold and humid temperatures?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 9. Will this fit a Nikon Z7 II?

A: Yes the Ruggard DSLR Parka Cold and Rain Protector will also fit a mirrorless camera such as the Nikon Z7II.

Q: 10. Do they make this for the sony a7iii series camera's or is this the only one available. I was thinking of using it for my winter astro shoots to eliminate my lens fogging up. The other options seem to be very thin but this one looks to be padded which would help insulate lens and body ?

A: I have used this at 7F temperature on a windy day for 2 hours and my hands were kept warm as well as the camera. It did get fogged up though so I had to unzip it a few times to clear up.
