This XL-sized black Protective Roller Case with Foam from Eylar is for the traveler. This roller case is great for storing cameras, electronics, tools, and equipment, and it includes a customizable pluck-and-pull foam layer, a solid layer foam, a solid bottom pad, and a top egg-crate layer. The integrated wheels make it easy to transport heavy or sensitive items. Pluck-and-pull foam allows for custom compartmentalization which keeps belongings organized and secure, and a tough outer shell provides shock resistance. A strong seal around the edges gives the case water and dust resistance, while an air-pressure equalizer allows for compensation in altitude if travelling.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello I wanted to know if it comes with the foam on top (of the lid)?

A: It does not come with any foam.

Q: 2. Will This hold 2 dslr's and Nikon's Big 3, along with other stuff?

A: You may want to move up to the 1600 case, the 1550 may be too small.

Q: 3. I'm looking for photos of the actual foam inserts. Can you share them, please? I need two matching cases. I see 4 for sale.

A: This case comes with a solid block of perforated foam that you "pick 'n' pluck" to match the size and shape of the items you'll be keeping in the case.

Q: 4. How this compare to the equivalent SKB version? Are the latches hard to open?

A: Which case you choose would would be personal preference. Both the Pelican 1620NF Case and the SKB iSeries 2217-12 Waterproof Utility Case are extremely durable heavy duty cases with limited lifetime warranties from the respective manufacturers. Some people state the SKB latch is slightly easier to disengage simply due to the position of the trigger release, while others feel the Pelican dual clutch release offers an additional level of security, but I do not think they are hard to open.

Q: 5. i have my canon 60D cam with bunch of lenses and the tripod ,, how can i know if this is the best case to hold my equipments ,, especially that there's a foam that has to be cut to fit the stuff inside ?

A: We would need to know all the exact items you are putting into the case to determine whether everything will fit or not.

Q: 6. Would Sony a6000/a6300 with the kit lens, plus an extra 35mm lens and accessories fit inside of this case?

A: Based on the dimensions of those items, you would be able to fit them in this Pelican case.

Q: 7. Does this case include the pick-n-pluck foam or just normal foam?

A: Pick n pluck foam.

Q: 8. Does the Pelican 1550NF Case without Foam include the foam in the lid?

A: The Pelican 1550NF Case without Foam doesn't include the foam in the lid.

Q: 9. Will the 1550 hold an EOS R6, Ikelite housing, 14-35 and dome port?

A: No, the Pelican 1550 Case with Foam would not offer enough space for those items. A better option is the Pelican 1560 Case with Foam Set (Black), BH # PE1560FB. https://bhpho.to/3TraNmY

Q: 10. Which pelican case would be suitable for a Sinar P 8x10 camera?

A: The Pelican 1400 would be a good sized option for a Sinar P 8x10 camera.

I always buy black pelicans but thought it would be nice to have accessories in a different color for easy identification on set when asking someone to go grab something. Definitely dig the silver. Oh, and as always Pelican is worth every penny. I have a dozen or so in various sizes and have never had an issue. It's one of those no brainer purchases.

Use it to store my setup for photo booth, it is going to see a lot of abuse and I am very confident it can withstand the abuse.

I have the 1520 case and this is a little bit smaller but still fits a good amount of gear. The height of the case is perfect for lenses in the horizontal position as it doesn't leave too much of a gap for things to move around. In my case I fit a cannon 50d, a cannon 280ex flash, a 100-400 ef, a 28-70 ef, a 18-200, a 50mm and some chargers/batteries. I really like this case. It has a great fit and finish that I've not seen in other brands.
