Normally, drones can be challenging to fly as you always need to be aware where the front is pointing in the air. With headless mode, the orientation of the drone itself doesn't matter as it's oriented to you. Push forward on the stick and the drone moves forward and away from you, pull back and it will move towards you in a straight line. This makes piloting much more intuitive and easy to grasp for beginners.
