The SD16 Stage Box is a studio/live sound engineer's dream come true. Setup is extremely easy, with virtually all parameter control taking place at the console, including the award-winning Midas-designed mic preamps, +48 V phantom power, destination routing, etc. Just put the SD16 where you want it, run a few Cat 5e, mic, and instrument cables and head for the console.

The SD16 features 8 XLR balanced outputs, allowing you to connect to your amp racks, active loudspeakers and monitors. Thanks to its reference-class Cirrus Logic 24-bit converters, SD16's digital operation eliminates even the slightest possibility of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and crosstalk.

The world-renowned engineers at Klark Teknik, Midas, Turbosound, and Behringer have all come together to create something truly innovative that will change your live and studio workflow forever. ULTRANET is a revolutionary technology that seamlessly transmits up to 16 independent channels of 24-bit digital audio and control data via a single shielded Cat 5e cable between compatible digital devices including mixers, I/O stage boxes, powered loudspeakers, and personal monitoring systems. Advantages realized through ULTRANET digital networking, versus traditional analog methods include: all audio signals are impervious to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI); signal crosstalk is eliminated, and ease of use translates directly into a significant amount of time saved during show setup or installation. And the SD16's onboard ULTRANET distribution hub supplies phantom power over Cat 5e directly to your P16-M Personal Monitoring Mixers, eliminating the need for external power adapters. ULTRANET effectuates a powerful digital eco-system that gives you unparalleled ease of deployment, performance, and control for Behringer P16 Personal Monitoring Systems and Turbosound iQ Speaker Series.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this stage box be used to expand the number of mixable inputs on a PreSonus StudioLive 16R?

A: No, the StudioLive 16R is not able to be expanded with more inputs using the NSB 8.8 stagebox.

Q: 2. Are the SMART features included (pink noise, spectrum analyzer, etc.)??

A: Includes Studio Magic Plug-in Suite. This suite of plug-ins adds a wealth of fresh virtual instruments and effects to Studio One. Cherry-picked from the first names in virtual instruments and effects, each plug-in brings a different flavor of practical magic to your songs. These plug-ins aren't gimmicky one-trick ponies — these are real-deal workhorses that you'll rely on for countless mixes. Modeled after classic analog studio designs, these compressor and EQ plug-ins load both natively on the StudioLive 16R and inside Studio One®, providing the ultimate mixing and recording flexibility. Q: 3. What is the weight of the dl32?

A: Hey guys! So you have the dl 32 use , good condition and on the sale?

Q: 4. As far as the LED lighting, how many LED lights are in the box?

A: about 160 small LEDs in a square configuration around the hole you can see in the top side. Very happy with this item, better results than I expected. Light is quite even unless the object is within 10 of the top of the box where it understandably gets a little too bright. For 18 tall items and under it is great.

Q: 5. How many watts of power does this use?

A: Fotodiox does not give watt seconds only in Lux, Output: 21,200 lx - 16x16" Studio-In-A-Box

Q: 6. Any one with experience using the 16x16 for photographing live insects? I would be using a macro lens with extension tubes.

A: From the manufacturer. We would assume that this would work fine for macro photography, but we do not have any information first hand on this.Thank you

Q: 7. I need to photograph ceramic items 6x6 inches down to 1x3 items. I generally use a gradient paper black to white. Is this a good option?

A: Yes, this would perfect for your needs.

Q: 8. is the AVB connection different than a Cat5/Cat6 Jack?

A: Same you can use a reg Cat5 cable

Q: 9. My project involves micro-photography, so my lens will be very close to the subject -as close as an inch. Can the lighting be arranged to avoid shadowing by the lens?

A: The lights are fixed position in the top of the box.

Q: 10. I am considering this light box for photographing jewelry. Will the lighting allow me to catch light cast by the cut gems (much as what the lighting in jewelry stores does for their stones)?

A: The inbuilt light comes directly from above, and is quitr diffuse. I'd suggest have reflectors and/or additional lights for catching thenlight at specific angles. This lightbox is a good start, but none of them will bring you all the way , in my opinion.
