Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many devices can connect to 1 adapter?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x1 Bluetooth I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network allows a single Bluetooth source to wirelessly join a Dante network.

Q: 2. Current requirement for USB power source? 0.5A, 1A?

A: Audinate has not provided a spec for the amount of bus power used by the Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-A I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network.

Q: 3. Is the USB C Cable detachable?

A: The USB-C cable is removeable.

Q: 4. There'er 16xlr in and 8 out physical patches, does the dante add to the inputs & outputs or does it replaces the physical i/o?

A: No, the Yamaha DM3-D Digital Mixing Console with Dante physical inputs on the console act as the Dante routed channels to be connected to a compatible stage box or other Dante compatible devices. Pages 34 - 39 in the manual illustrate this, https://bhpho.to/4c4Z3ig.

Q: 5. I am running the TF5 with the N 64 card but can only access 40 channels how do I access the full 64 on the console

A: I am using this on a TF1. The TF boards seem to be limited to 1 to 1 routing of the Slot channels (Slot 1 goes to fader 1). For the TF5 it looks like you can only have access to 48 channels of the Slot so you cannot use all 64 at the same time. You could, however, use the Dante Controller to change the routing of the channel matrix to get access to channels other than 1-48.

Q: 6. Can you choose between mic and line for the xlr outputs?

A: No. The analog XLR outputs on the Yamaha DM3-D Digital Mixing Console supply line level output.

Q: 7. Does this additionally provide a general Ethernet network interface, or is it just Dante audio?

A: Dante only

Q: 8. Does this work with any operating system?

A: It is compatible for use with any Windows, Mac or Linux-based computer and no additional software is required.

Q: 9. Will this adapter work with the new M1 apple silicon MacBook pros? I'm having trouble with the virtual sound card not being supported until early 2022

A: As of the time of this writing, Audinate makes no specific confirmation of Apple M1 compatibility with the Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-C I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network. However, this device requires no software installation and may function as an appropriate interface depending on the software program it is being paired with.

Q: 10. Would this work with Yeti microphones?

A: This will not work with a Yeti mic. This is designed to allow a connected computer to send and receive audio over a Dante network.
