Q: 7. I have a cloud key but not the new cloud gen2+. My NVR isnt showing up in the UniFi Network dashboard though I am able to access the NVR through the UnifiProtect dashboard. Do I need a new Gen2+ cloud key to get this to showup on my unifi network dashboard?

A: Please check that the Ubiquiti Networks UNVR UniFi Protect NVR BH #UBUNVR has been updated to the latest firmware. A cloud key is not necessary. This NVR will operate as a stand-alone component.

Q: 8. Does it come with a harddrive already or completely empty? It does not state a hard drive size so i assume its empty?

A: It does not come with a preinstalled hard drive.

Q: 9. I've read things about UI using generic USB flash drives glued to store the OS. How often do these fail because of that (as opposed to an SSD)?

A: We have no statitistics regarding USB flash drive failure, but generally speaking SSD memory would be more reliable over the long term.

A: According to information from Ubiquiti on what's provided in the box, it does not.
