The black Gefen ToolBox 6x2 Matrix for HDMI 4K x 2K is a compact and lightweight surface-mountable HDMI matrix that allows up to six Ultra HD or 1080p sources to be routed to up to two Ultra HD displays. The matrix supports resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 30p. Deep Color, 3DTV pass-through, and lossless audio formats such as LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio are also supported. The matrix is ideal for home theater systems, multi-room installations, retail establishments, sports bars, schools, hospitals, lobbies, or any installation where multi-source Ultra HD HDCP-compliant content needs to be routed to multiple displays.

Connect up to six Ultra HD or HD sources to the HDMI inputs on the matrix using HDMI cables. Each HD source can be routed up to two displays using the front panel push-buttons, IR remote control, RS-232, Telnet, UDP, or web server interface. LED indicators on the top panel display the current routing status, Fast Switching Technology (FST) mode, audio configuration, and EDID settings. A power supply with locking cable comes included.

A: We are afraid not. This only supports HDCP 1.4.

Would this be able to take the signal from the CAT5/6 - HDMI receiver then convert it to the BlackMagic Production Studio 4k resolution and keep it synchronized wherever the input change in the matrix?Does it convert to PAL - 576i standard? (for the time we still need SD resolutions)

A: According to the PDF Manual, available PAL settings include: EDID 1 - PAL Resolutions - 720 x 576p 4:3 & 720 x 576p 16:9, both 50 Hz. EDID 2 - PAL Resolutions - 720 x 576p 4:3 - 59.94 / 60 Hz. Yes we have it. No we don't use it. Why: Short Term expenditure. Very rudimentary device. Interface looks like Windows 3.0 and Non Upgradeable Firmware! The Native Resolution of Device: 1920 x 1080i 16:9, 50 Hz & 59.94 / 60 Hz. We used with an HDMI Powered Switch. Never tried to use it with BMD ATEM 4K. Why? Awkward space requirements. HDMI Cables are face mounted, not edge connected. Cannot Rack Mount unless mounted on Face of Rack. For the Money... & Long Term Investment: Look seriously at Decimator MD-HX Up / Down / Cross Converter or DataVideo DAC-70 Converter. A: The 4K HDMI switch can operate in auto mode and priority mode. The system can either automatically select the latest video source for display in auto mode, or automatically select a video source following priority order in priority mode. It will not cause the connected device to reboot.

A: This scaler will not provide a solution to a delayed switch unfortunately. This is just for scaling one resolution to another. It sounds like you will need a seamless switcher with no delay when switching between HDMI inputs.
