Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference between single and pair?

A: Besides the difference in cost, with two prompters the speaker can look two ways to the audience in a more natural way and without interruption. With only one prompter, the speaker is pretty much restricted to only one eye direction. That is why the President always has two. It looks better that way.

Q: 2. Is the size of the glass the same as the 19” LCD monitor version?

A: It is not. This uses different glass than the 19" LCD Monitor Version.

Q: 3. Does it have a reverse function?

A: Yes it does. This controller does have a reverse function.

Q: 4. What size are the glass reflectors? And what is the maximum height they can be adjusted to?

A: The glass reflectors are 18x18x18in.

Q: 5. Does it come with a case or can I purchase one?

A: Yes, this kit comes with a hard travel case.

Q: 6. Can be connected to a Mac to download file?

A: Yes. Page 13 in the manual for the FiiO M17 shows how to connect it to a Mac computer. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/lit_files/800196.pdf

Q: 7. Will this work with a Canon CN7x17 17-120mm lens?

A: You need the following adapter cable to accommodate the 20 pin. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1397132-REG/angenieux_mvc_501_01_18_c201212_20_pin_to.html

Q: 8. Can I use this in the studio and shoot the camera through it without any glare or reflection into the lens? Or is this only for live / stage use?

A: While it may be possible, that would not be recommended. There is no hood as you would find on camera teleprompter system to avoid any glare issues. This is designed for a different purpose.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the Canon CN-E 70-200mm lens?

A: We have not tested it, nor have we heard of such use in general or from the manufacturer. However, the lens is designed to work with similar controls so we are not seeing anything saying it will not work.

Q: 10. Do we have a B&H service center in India??

A: No, there are no B&H service centers anywhere in the world.

I love this MIC! Not only is it so easy to use, but I sound BETTER than I do in real life! I tested it in my office and compared it to 3 toher mics and this one is BY FAR the absolute best quality. I use it for all my audio now, even if I'm just doing something quick!

The sound quality of this microphone is amazing! It's the best I've tried and compares to a high-end Sure mic I've used that requires an amp.The headphone jack input on the mic is brilliant! . Previous Equivalent Items Owned: Samson, Snowball Items I Recommend: Shockmount and heavy-duty stand

Originally I purchased the Blue Yeti Mic. The problem was that the Yeti was way to sensitive and would capture vibrations from my desk or the fans of my desktop. Thus, I decided to try the Rode Podcaster together with a popup filter, Rode Boom and Rode shockmount. What a difference: now I have no problems with background noise, a bit better quality of the recording, and since I am using the Rode Boom I have plenty of extra desk space in front of me. If you are an amateur podcaster with home studio this is probably the best mic for you.

I have been using the Podcaster Mic for about 2 months nowfor our radio show and I love it. The sound quality is greatand the nice part is you just plug it in and your good togo. Hands down this was the best money I have spent andwould do it all over again. I don't really want to plug mysite but I had a hard time finding someone using thepodcaster before I bought iti love the podcaster. Problems Encountered: The only problem I had was as of right now it does not workwith vista right out of the box. But Rode does make a betaflash which fixes the problem. Items I Recommend: Shock Mount & stand

This really is one of THE best microphones on the market.Unlike a lot of USB mics, the Podcaster has accurate vocalreproduction and durability. There's nothing cheap aboutthis piece of equipment. The USB mic is easy to use, greatfor podcasting and voiceovers and even interviews. Fact is,this mic is capable of doing a lot of things, and doing themwell. Not to mention that Rode is one of the finest audiocompanies around. They are committed to quality and it showsin every one of their products. Problems Encountered: The Podcaster software available from the Podcaster Web siteis only Windows compatible. Bummer for us Mac users whowould like to fine-tune the mic a little more. But that'sokay. A 3rd-party plug-in or recording software can usuallytake care of the trouble. Previous Equivalent Items Owned: Mic headset Items I Recommend: Podcaster Shockmount for crisper sound

The Podcaster is very good quality mic regardless of whether it's used in a studio setting or remote location. Just plug it in and it's ready to use. You may have to direct your audio software to choose the Podcaster, but beyond that, it just works. It has a nice rich sound that will be good for broadcast as well. @
