A: The answer to your question is no this battery cannot be calibrated I called Watson and they supplied with this answer. When I bought this battery it was only for a backup I don't use it full time, every so often I will recharge it. It fills the need for what I needed and the price was right.

In the short time I have now used it, works as well as the Nikon original. Fits perfectly into the battery compartment, fully charged first time in less than 2 hours and shows no loss of power shooting for normal half hour of scenic shots. The yellow end cap protector doesn't stay on well, so I took the old one from the original Nikon battery and it fits perfectly. 5

This is proving to be a great back up battery using it in my battery grip shooting with a Nikon D300S. The battery is proving to hold a charge for more than 2,000 photos. This is great when you are out for a full days hike or excursion the battery will last all day. 5

Not often do we use the expression it's as good as... and really mean it, but in reference to the Watson EN-EL4A battery used in a Nikon D3x, it is as good as the Manufacturers battery ... in my humble opinion. 5
