Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this unit put out a pure sine wave?

A: The manufacturer lists that the GVM H300W Portable Power Station has an AC pure sine wave output.

Q: 2. Is the power plug angled? I need something low profile and angled to fit behind a piece of furniture. The manufacturer's specs say it includes a "36 degree NEMA 15 plug". Does it stick out far from the wall?

A: Yes, the Furman PST-8 Power Station Home Theater Power Conditioner & Surge Protector - 8 Outlets, 2 Coax Pairs & Phone Line Protection has a low profile 90 degree plug.

Q: 3. can I use a short extension cord between my computer and the input socket of this unit to get around the limited spacing of the outlets? Will the extra cord limit the protection?

A: Yes, you can use an extension cord although I would recommend making sure it is rated to handle the device before using it.

Q: 4. Whats the difference between this and the PST-2+6, which has 2 more outlets yet is $10 cheaper??

A: The B&H # FUPST6 MFR # PST-6 offers a more robust build and a predominately metal cabinet.

Q: 5. how long is the power cord ?

A: The cable is approximately 8 feet in length.

Q: 6. what king of warranty/guarantee does this product have?

Q: 7. Does this come in sockets to fit Australian plugs?

A: No, it does not.

Q: 8. What is the difference between the Furman pst-6 and the Furman pst-8D in power conditioning properties.Am I not getting as good conditioning from the pst-6??

A: According to the Furman site, the PST-6 has EMI/RFI filtration, under- and over-voltage shutoff. But the The PST-8 series has LiFT where AC noise is suppressed evenly so it does not add noise, and the SMP technology which is extreme voltage-shutdown which is the most common damaging event. I have the PST-8D and it improves the tv picture and somewhat computer visual both plugged into the digital part, isolating digital and analog inputs. I don't know if PST-6 would do those as much. But you can call Furman and ask them yourself. Hope that helps.

Q: 9. The photo doesn't match it's description. Is it a pair of coaxial connectors or two pairs?

A: This would be a single input, and a single output.

Q: 10. Does this support the powerbank PD protocol for power negotiation needed by Nikon Z8?

A: Yes, the ANKER 747 25,600mAh Power Bank with 515 AC Wall Charger is USB-PD compliant and can supply up to 87W from a USB-C port, which is plenty for the Nikon Z8.
