DN32-DANTE features two Gigabit Ethernet ports connected through an internal switch. This allows the simultaneous merging of Ethernet remote control data for your console with bidirectional multichannel audio streams on the same cable. When both the primary and secondary interfaces are connected, the secondary serves as a redundant connection, and is automatically activated should the primary connection become unavailable. Please note that Dante runs Gigabit or 100 MBit/s network infrastructure and requires QoS capable switches.

The DN32-DANTE card features a high-precision word clock that can serve as the clock master for the Dante network and your console. Alternately, the console can provide the master word clock that is distributed to the Dante network. Dante supports Unicast and Multicast flows and allows for signal routings on a per-channel basis. All routings and device parameters can be controlled from anywhere in the network, and are exclusively made using the Dante Controller application, which is available free of charge at www.audinate.com.

The Dante Virtual Soundcard application, which is available for PC and Mac computers, allows streaming to and from Dante enabled devices on a networked personal computer, including remote recording or playback over standard IP infrastructure. Live recordings of up to 64 channels are possible by receiving signals from more than one mixing console. Windows WDM and ASIO, and Mac OS X Core Audio are supported to ensure low-latency signal handling by your PC.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this with a USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect to a USB-C computer?

A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-A I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network uses USB 2.0, so no compatibility issues should arise when using it with a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

Q: 2. Will this record the 32 mono channels coming in or just a stereo channel of the mix in the board?

A: This would allow for multi track when used with appropriate mixing board. The Board needs AES50 connection.

Q: 3. Will this convert 96k from my Midas to 48k so I can record 48ch at one time? Doesnt it take two aes50 cables to get 48 channels one way into something. My desk runs at 96k but Id be ok recording at 48k but Im guessing I would need a converter to go from 96k to 48k.

A: We cannot answer this question via this forum. Please contact us via e-mail at: audio@bandh.com.

Q: 4. Can I use this alongside a wired ethernet connection to a WAN?

A: there should be no interference running this alomg side wired ethernet or even power cables.

Q: 5. Is there a version of this that's battery operated?

A: We are not aware of a battery powered version of this product. However you could always consider using a Power Bank with an AC connection. The Mophie 22,000mAh powerstation AC Portable Battery Pack (Black) would be a great option for that, B&H # MO4167. https://bhpho.to/2WYo7Bv

Q: 6. Will it work with the Yamaha LS9

A: Unfortunately not, compatible with TF-series mixers only. LS9 mixer requires the DANTE-MY16-AUD2 card, we are not authorized to sell that card, you need to contact Yamaha directly for more assistance.

Q: 7. Can you use two DN9630's at one time on a Mac? Can you create an aggregate device with both devices plugged into a mac?

A: Just one at a time may be used. They cannot be aggregated via the Mac's USB port.

Q: 8. Is a Dante Card required or is it built in?

A: The Yamaha Tio1608-D2 comes equipped with a Dante card, and you do not need to purchase one separately.

Q: 9. Can this device act as an AES50 splitter? Another words, can it take a single input Cat5 AES50 cable and output 2 separate AES50 signals?

A: No, this is a simple redundant repeater.

Q: 10. I use midas m32 mixer and dl32 stage box, i can use klark teknik dn9620 on fiber cable? klark teknik dn9620 have Rx and Tx? I buy one order have1 pair ithe box?

A: That is correct, you would need another Klark Teknik DN9620 or a device that has an opticalCON port. This is illustrated on page 07 of the manual for the Klark Teknik DN9620. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/794460/Klark-Teknik-Dn9620.html?page=7#manual
