The white NuQ82-WH 2-Way 8" Full-Range Loudspeaker for Portable PA Applications from Turbosound is a switchable passive/bi-amp 1000W loudspeaker system ideally suited for a wide range of speech and music sound-reinforcement applications. The NuQ82-WH Loudspeaker is engineered to provide optimal performance for FOH, sidefill, and delay-line loudspeakers, and is an ideal choice for wedge-monitoring applications.

The NuQ82-WH Loudspeaker features an 8" low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response, and an aluminum dome with 1" neodymium high-frequency compression driver mounted on a rotatable 100 x 60° (horizontal x vertical) dispersion-converging elliptical waveguide. All drivers are matched with an internal passive-crossover network in a reflex-loaded enclosure, and bi-amp mode can be enabled by means of a rear-panel switch. The rear-panel connector plate carries Neutrik speakON NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures (sold separately).

Finished in a highly durable semi-matte white paint, the cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood and is constructed with a rugged powder-coated perforated-steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Multiple threaded rigging points are provided for suspension in any orientation, or for mounting with standard wall brackets. The NuQ82-WH Loudspeaker also features a 35mm socket for standard pole mounting, as well as integrated handles for convenient transport.

Purchased a pair of these with all custom bags. Replacing my 'standard' sound system of Mackie SWA 18"+ SRM 12" 2-way system. Absolutely loved using them and happy i upgraded. Operation: I clocked myself at 46 seconds to disassemble the entire column and put all components in the cases/bags including sub. I can carry the sub though its not very mobile friendly without dolly. Erects in similar amount of time and much easier on the eyes. Audio: Compared them with Bose, EV, RCF, and Fender. Out of the group the RCF was the best sounding overall. The Turbosounds sounded better than the rest but the dual 12" sub did outperform the single sub on the RCF 12, at least for me. Aesthetically it was nicer than the RCF but the EV evolve looked the nicest and was the easiest to transport. Would highly recommend. Happy to have joined the Turbosound family. 5

I've been working in live professional audio for over 20 years. I can say hands down these units are the best (small/medium) PA. I work at a university and we own 2 of the 3000 and one of the 1000 units. These have served 90% of all our needs. Just last weekend I ran the pair of 3000 for about 350 in a ballroom for our new student orientation and ran them hard ( Hard House, EDM and Hip Hop. They have built in limiters that help protect the drivers, but I did not even have to run them to limit. The coverage / intelligibility were fantastic for spoken word. Great units for the price and I only need to take one trip in the van to move the whole PA. I will be ordering 2 more. Well done Turbosound for these fantastic units.good for Pro, church, or school. CON: Low end is lacking for our application, I would have prefered our pair of dual 18" subs, but the pair of 12" subs per side worked OK. 5

I purchased the Samson Expedition Express for work as a tour guide in NYC. I'm working outdoors for the most part and this is plenty loud to get my voice across with a clear accurate tone above most NY noise. I will say that the mic that comes with the unit is slightly bass heavy so I recommend adding quite a bit more treble into the mix if using this Mic. That said, I use a Sennheiser ME2 Lav for my Mic. Note that this requires a plug in power to operate with this particular unit (as is the case with most PAs). I achieved this by purchasing the X-Vive Phantom power unit plus an Asian knock off (YPA A62P) of the Sennheiser MZA 900P (at less than a 1/3 of the price) which adjust phantom power to the lower voltage power necessary for operating a Sennheiser Lav. The sound is very clear and strong with this combination. It will feedback easily with this combination so you do have to watch your volume, but believe me in that it is plenty loud to achieve the desired volume level for outdoor group tours in NYC. If feedback is a concern the advantage of the mic that comes with this unit is that it is not as sensitive and thereby requires close contact with the mic (eating the mic) which basically eliminates feedback). I carry this PA in a mesh backpack which allows sound to travel straight through it. If it rains I use a waterproof cover over the backpack as this unit is not waterproof. I suppose that is the only downside if you are looking for one on this unit, but this is the norm. Out of curiosity I checked with Samson for the cost of battery replacement as this will be needed somewhere down the line. The cost is $17 and its user serviceable, so this is another plus for extended use into the future. Highly recommended. 5

Just follow the instructions and everything should work perfectly for you. Instructions are simple, too. Good volume level, good tone for voice (can't comment on singing). Follow instructions and you will not have feedback. A tiny bit heavy but easy to move and carry with the handy finger-hold insert area on top of the box. To me the heaviness compared to some other speakers makes me think this one might be a lot better made than many of the others in its price range . 5

This has worked well for my purpose; teaching yoga while streaming music via bluetooth from my phone. Each volume channel can be controlled on its own. Plenty loud for a standard sized yoga classroom. 5
