It's simple to use—drop the Barlow into your focuser and slide the eyepiece into the Barlow, tightening it in place with the knurled fixing screw. The Barlow accepts all standard 1.25" eyepieces. It also has a male M42x0.75 thread for attaching to camera T/T2 adapters. Light transmission is optimized by multiple full antireflective glass coatings and an antireflective interior finish for a bright, clear view. The Barlow is made of metal with a knurled rubber grip ring. Thanks to an internal brass compression ring, the fixing screw won't mar or damage your eyepiece.

I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but it is really very nice looking and appears to be well made. Waiting for warmer weather.

Bought the X-Cel LX 3x Barlow Lens (1.25) by Celestron as a gift to my boyfriend who has a Celestron NexStar SLT Telescope. Three times the magnification brings our backyard to life. We live on a lake with lots of birds and a variety of fowl. Now we get close up views of every movement, down to the blinking of their eyeballs. Also good for closer observation of the moon and planets.

This Barlow is exactly what I was hoping for, I can't believe how great it is for the cost. I also ordered the 2X and am completely satisfied with that one too.

Great quality. Provides the 3x magnification with negligible decline in visual quality associated with cheap barlow lens. Great build with a good weight exuding quality and looks likely to be highly durable. Rubber grip ensures lower chance of slip and dropping the lens. Will be better if it came with a case/box to keep rather than just lens cover.
