Mount this NATO Safety Rail with Cold Shoe & 1/4"-20 Accessory Mount from CAMVATE onto your camera cage or a cheese plate to attach compatible accessories such as handles, grips, and support arms. A: I would not recommend this because of the small area of adhesive. I don't think it would last at all. I intended to sew this to my camera strap so I would have a place to put the hot-shoe cover (Nikon BS-1) when I'm not using it. I have not yet sewn it to the camera strap though.

A: Yes, but the flange is a little shallow so you have to make sure to seat the flash carefully and then use the locking lever or it can pop out of this cold shoe. I had a 600EX-RT hit the floor after falling off a lightstand, so I know from bitter experience. The weather proofing around the 600EX hotshoe makes it hard to insert into many conventional cold shoes in my experience. I moved to RRS FA-QRCS2 cold shoes that fit the 600EX like a glove, but they're expensive and B&H doesn't carry them (yet)
