Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the Native ISO?

A: The base native ISO for the Sigma fp Mirrorless Digital Camera would be ISO 100. The standard ISO range for the camera is ISO 100-25,600; the expanded sensitivity settings for the camera are ISO 6, 12, 25, 50, 51,200, and 102,400.

Q: 2. What is the bit depth of the MOV files?

A: The video specs are as follows; CinemaDNG (8/10/12-bit) / MOV H.264( ALL-I /GOP) with Linear PCM stereo audio (48KHz, 16-bit)

Q: 3. How is its low light capability compared with GH5S?

A: At 6400 iso the GH6 is about 1-2 stops better than the GH5s.

Q: 4. I wonder if the "the new micro four thirds sensor" will allow you to use the same mft lens

A: Regardless of it being a new sensor, it's still Micro Four Thirds. It will definitely be compatible with many of the MFT lenses on the market.

Q: 5. Can I shoot with an aspect ratio of 1x1 and still shoot raw?

A: According to Sigma's specifications, 1:1 is only Jpeg.

Q: 6. I understand I must use a GH6 battery instead of a GH5 battery for full functionality. May I use a GH5 AC adapter to have full GH6 functionality or must I use a GH6 AC adapter?

A: According to page 706 of the Operating Instructions / Owner's Manual Complete Guide for the Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera, it states that both the Panasonic DMW-AC10 AC Adapter for LUMIX GH4 and GH5 Digital Cameras, B&H # PADMWAC10, and the Panasonic DMW-DCC17 DC Coupler, B&H # PADMWDCC17, would be the two (2) correct accessories required for continuous AC power usage needs. If you already own the Panasonic DMW-AC10 AC Adapter for use with your Panasonic GH5, then it will also work with the GH6. However, the Panasonic DMW-DCC12 DC Coupler that is used with the Panasonic GH5 IS NOT compatible with the GH6; the DMW-DCC17 would be needed for use with the GH6.

Q: 7. Will any SD card handle most of the functions of the GH6, or is a CF card absolutely necessary?

A: Yes. The following item will adapt to the following. Media/Memory Card Slot Slot 1: CFexpress Type B Slot 2: SD/SDHC (UHS-II) [U3/V30 or Faster Recommended]

Q: 8. What is the typical power consumption?

A: The instruction manual for the Sigma fp Mirrorless Digital Camera states you can capture approximately 280 images on the provided Sigma BP-51 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1200mAh) at 23°C (73°F) on a full battery charge, based on CIPA test standard, and continuous shooting capture time is approximately 70 minutes per full battery charge .

Q: 9. Does Sigma fp have B mode and T mode for long exposure? What is the longest time for long exposure?

A: Shutter Speed Electronic Shutter 1/8000 to 30 Seconds Bulb Mode

Q: 10. When shooting 5.7k open gate, will HDMI out still function?

A: The Panasonic Lumix GH6 Mirrorless Camera (B&H# PADCGH6) does not have that ability at the time of release. As for what it will have in the future, so far the only HDMI-related future expectation (per Panasonic's announcement) is up to 4K 120p HDMI video output with live view or 4K 120fps HDMI raw video data output to an Atomos Ninja V+.
