Works just like the OEM battery in a Z5, both in camera and in a battery grip. Seems to last just as long and charges as fast. I've used the non -c version of the battery in a D7100 before and it eventually developed the issue of not working unless held into the battery compartment, so it's possible this one will eventually get to that point, but I'm happy to pay half of the OEM cost for a couple years of good service. 5

I have been using off-brand batteries many times. Usually, they work, but die much quicker than the Nikon brand batteries. In addition, many off brand versions do not work with the Nikon Z6II or Z7II cameras, because they need a special chip to provide some info, the camera simply refuses to work with them. This brand here works fine with the XZ6II, I can charge it in camera and while the camera is being used, very much like the original Nikon battery is supposed to work. Capacity is about the same, I get 3-4 hours of night time (olong exposure) shooting, as I do with Nikon batteries. I can't speak for longevity yet, but may update this in the future, For now, this is a good solution for more backup batteries, especially for traveling, at half the cost of a Nikon brand battery. 5

I purchased a used D500 from B&H and purchased this battery as a backup to the Nikon battery that came with the camera. It works without a hitch, and the battery life seems to be equivalent to the Nikon battery. I used a Watson battery as a backup in the D7100 I upgraded from for many years, and never had a problem with it. Very fast shipping from B&H as always. 5

Folks said I have to buy Nikon at twice the price. But I took a chance and found no difference. This battery works fine. They say it may not work if Nikon does a firmware update, but I'll cross that bridge if it comes. I just did a firmware update and it still works. 5

I have read that Nikon makes excellent batteries. This is important all the time, but more important when shooting the night sky. I just returned from a Night Sky workshop in Death Valley. I used ONE Watson battery for 3 nights of shooting. That is, at least 5-6 hours of extended exposure time shooting times 3 nights. ONE Watson battery with only a top off the first night. I cannot recommend this battery enough. Also loved the order-online-pick-up-in-store option. Thank you Watson and B&H. 5
