I got this scope for birding and have been very impressed with the optics. The focus is smooth and the eye piece is comfortable with or without glasses. The Vortex warranty was also a huge selling point for me. I don't have to worry about taking the scope out in the elements or traveling with it since I know it is durable and if something crazy does happen, it will be covered. One thing to note is it does come with an Arca-Swiss base... make sure it works with your tripod, otherwise you will need an adapter!

The glass is easy to carry in most packs even attached to the tripod. Excellent in relatively low light and perfect for distances and ranges I’ve experienced through the Appalachian Mountains and surrounding areas for white tail scouting. Fantastic for spotting at the range when using an appropriate target as well

Not docking points because it doesn't have the clarity of a Swaro or a Zeiss, this is a great get for the price point. Its weight isn't encumbering and the dials feel smooth and well put together. My principal experience with this is from a goat hunt on Kodiak Island. No moisture penetration though it did rain on us a lot. The mount on the bottom was solid. The caps could be annoying to remove and replace, especially for the main aperture but I would rather them be more difficult to take off than too easy.

Razor glass is unmatched. I’ve used this at the range a handful of times, and plan to use it this fall for elk and deer hunting in Oregon.

I spend a lot of time in central Idaho and need a good spotting scope. This scope works great for long hours looking for Deer and Elk.

I don’t like to review things until I’ve been able to put them to good use. That being said, for the price this Scope out does many at twice the price and that’s what makes it so appealing. It is crystal clear, provides excellent light, packs well in a backpack and the best part is vortex killer warranty. I love it! I will be buying the straight version of this scope and I probably won’t even shop another brand I like it that much.

This is my first scope and I couldn't be happier. It's very easy to use and extremely well-made. Just what I expected after being very impressed with the Vortex Viper 10x50 binoculars.

Great spotting scope. It is great at taking in light and is clear when looking at a distance! The only thing I don't like is how heavy it is compared to other spotters.

Large objective lens with great performance. Used this scope hunting big game in NV this year. Multiple hunts with all types of weather and lighting. Had zero complaints with the performance. Would recommended every time. Have not used a scope this nice hunting and it definitely made a huge impact on our ability to find animals. It’s also very durable and lightweight. Don’t sleep on vortex, they’re legit.
