The Barska FV-2000 Fire Vault Safe is a secure steel and fireproof gypsumboard safe capable of holding 30 rifles and withstanding fire for up to 1 hour at 1,200°F. It is fitted with a pry-resistant recessed door to prevent tampering and has a variety of pouches for storing and organizing items. For more organization the safe's adjustable internal shelves will help you set up the inside for your requirements. Also, the interior is lined with upholstery to protect your valuables from damage.

The FV-2000 utilizes a 6-point solid steel deadbolt locking mechanism that can be unlocked quickly through the use of an electronic keypad. This can be set to a silent access feature that mutes the beeping notification. There are also low battery warnings and a lock out mode for entering the incorrect code too many time. A secondary access method is provided with a set of two back-up keys. Included with the safe are a 9V battery to power the lock and mounting hardware for bolting the safe to the floor using the pre-drilled holes.

A: No, but has keys if you don't want to use batteries or they die on you. Also can be bolted to the ground so no one can lift it and take it away.

A: No, you would not be able to plug in an external hard drive. But I see no reason why you can not store the drive inside the safe

Q: 7. how to program in fingerprint?how easy does it open?

A: Very easy, follow the instructions that come with the safe. You just push an initiate button and a light turns red on the fingerprint pad, place the finger you programed on the pad and when the pad recognizes your fingerprint the red light will turn green; you then have about ten seconds to turn the handle that lets you pull open the door.

I got this as a gift 2 Christmas's ago. I love this product. Extrmely easy to set up, and 100% secure. I have gotten this for my father, my brother, and my partner as gifts on different occasions. A must have. The only one thing I wish is that it was heavier (weighs about 35- 40 lbs, but you can bolt it to the wall or ground if you wanted for additional security. 5

I really like this safe. The biometric (fingerprint) reader works every time. The safe is a convenient size that fits under my bed such that one would have to lift the bed to take away the safe, yet it's convenient for me to access it.I mainly purchased this for a secure place to store things like my loose cash, silver and gold coins, credit cards not in my wallet, my passport and expensive watches. Although my home is quite secure this is more for when I have workers in the house or have a party. I didn't want the aforementioned items just sitting in a drawer. When I have people over, I push the safe more under the bed so it's not visible to anyone too.This safe is easy to set up and understand. It also includes 2 secure round type keys which you can use if the fingerprint scanner stops working or the 4 AA batteries die. Note the unit remembers your programmed fingerprints even if the batteries die in most cases.I also did a lot of research and this brand is not nearly as easily broken into but just pushing hard on things such as the finger scanner than other brands.Recommended! 5

You'll have 30 fingerprint IDs to store if you need them. My suggestion is to set your own finger in 4-5 positions that would represent the most likely positions of your print so that you don't have to get it perfect every time. 5
