Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If rechargeable batteries are in this unit, can it be recharged via USB?

A: No. This will not work as a charger.

Q: 2. Can it have interference with wireless microphones?

A: Yes, it should work just fine.

Q: 3. Is the Sony URX-PO-3D compatible with the sonyUTX-M40?

A: Yes, the UTX-P40 plug-on transmitter is compatible for use with the URX-P03D dual-channel receiver. Just be sure that both items operate on the same frequency band.

Q: 4. is this compatable with URX-P40?

A: Yes, the Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter is compatible for use with a Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver, as long as both components operate on the same frequency band.

Q: 5. Can you use it for live band applications?

A: I don't think it will work out

Q: 6. does the transmitter have a microphone?

A: The transmitter does NOT have a microphone. You will need to plug in a microphone.

Q: 7. Does it work with an iPhone/Oticon Companion app and Oticon hearing aids, similar to the Oticon TV transmitter?

A: The HamiltonBuhl ALS700 Assistive Listening System with Transmitter and 6 Bodypack Receivers with Earbuds (75.5 and 75.9 MHz), BH # HAALS700, will not pair or broadcast to third-party devices.

Q: 8. What is the best frequency band for the US West coast?

A: There is no one specific frequency band that is best for the US West Coast. The Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitters for the UC14 and UC25 bands each have 2,772 auto-scan frequencies within the band. This means that there are 2,772 individual frequencies that the wireless microphone system scans to automatically select the clearest one to use for transmitting audio. The UC90 band has 654 auto-scan frequencies within the band. The UTX-P40 Transmitter will need to be used with a compatible Sony wireless microphone receiver that operates on the same frequency band.

Q: 9. Can a specific frequency be dialed in on this system or does it always auto scan for a clean frequency?

A: Yes, it is possible to select a specific transmitting frequency manually for the Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter and wireless receiver instead of using the auto-scan feature for pairing the transmitter and receiver.

Q: 10. Can I buy 4 systems with 4 separate channels for 4 language class.

A: This system would not work for 4 channels of transmission. I would recommend the VocoPro SilentPA-Tour10 - Portable 16-Channel Wireless Listening System (Bodypack Transmitter, 10 Users), BH #VOSILNTPTR10. which allows up to 16 user selectable channels. This would give you the ability to have 4 transmitters sending out individual programs simultaneously to as many receivers as you wish.
