The focus ring is capable of rotating 300° for intuitive control. Markings on the lens are fluorescent and in both feet and meters. A: The PL mount version of the NiSi ATHENA Prime T2.4/1.9 Full-Frame 5-Lens Kit have not been tested with the Meike RF PL Adapter with ND filter. NiSi has just released a similar adapter for these lenses, which is the recommendation for the same use.

Q: 2. What comes in the nd mount is it empty is clear ?

A: The "clear," option on the NISI Athena prime lenses is an actual clear glass filter. A filter needs to be in place as part of the optical path

Q: 7. is there a mount conversion kit? or do we need to buy whole new lens for it?

A: The NiSi ATHENA Prime T2.4/1.9 Full-Frame 5-Lens Kit (PL Mount) can work with Nisi Lens PL adapters to attach to other camera mounts. Nisi has adapters for Sony E, Canon RF, DJI DX, and Leica L (Blackmagic 6K and Panasonic cameras). Adapter list: https://bit.ly/47wQafr

Using this lens mainly for interview pieces, and for some b-roll shots, I was very impressed. It is tack sharp (though it takes a while to get used to the extremely shallow DOF), and has some very nice bokeh, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable alternative to the name brands!

For the Price...you cannot beat it. I want the 24mm now!! Solid optics, low light, clean image and Bokeh beauty. Love it with my Canon C100 camera. Drawback is a bit of a plasticky feel. So, hope it will last some bumps & bruises. Overall, I'm Happy :) Thanks B&H!!

The image quality is simply stellar. It is a beautiful piece of glass with excellent optics. Its as sharp as most lenses in this price range wide open, and competes with much more expensive lenses by the 2.8/4 split. Not bad at all. The bokeh is awfully nice too, with internal focusing to boot! (No focus breathing during focus pulls) There are of course some trades offs, the most obvious being autofocus, though if you're looking for a true cine lens that is irrelevant. Even shooting stills with it I don't miss the autofocus much. Secondly, the construction of the barrel is not at the same level as the quality of the glass. It is solid though, and as good as you're likely to find on a lens in this price range, so not fair to reduce the rating on that basis. I see it as they spent the money on the parts that effect the image, and saved on everything else, so don't drop it! It ain't the canon 85 T1.3, but at 1/14th the price it shouldn't be!

Haven't used it a lot but also bought the 35mm T1.5 Cine & the quality of both are absolutely great! Awesome lens!! My previous fastest lens was only a f2.8, the two extra stops make a huge difference! Very smooth, provides great markings for accurate focus!

I'm using this lens with a T4i for video only. Shooting talking heads mostly on a tripod at a nice interview distance. It's got great depth of field and works amazing in low light conditions. It's not a good lens to shoot action, it's VERY tight and hard to focus on fast moving things, i.e. kids playing at a park, etc. I would suggest the 35mm or 24mm versions for more fast paced shooting situations. Haven't had a chance to try the follow focus yet, but I do enjoy having the rings built in the lens even for hand focusing, they work nicely.
