Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this rated for exterior use?

A: Yes, the Century Wire and Cable D14412050BL 12/3 AWG SJTW Pro Lock Extension Cord with CGM can be used outdoors. The cable is constructed with 12-gauge wire with three conductors and features CGM (Continuous Ground Monitoring), as well as a Pro Lock female connector with pull resistance of 80 pounds to ensure that will not pull apart accidentally. Additionally, the cable uses a -58°F (-50°C) special cold-weather PVC jacket that enables working flexibility in temperatures well below freezing.

Q: 2. it says this stinger is rated at 300V yet the male and female plug ends appear to be units that are most likely 125v. am i correct?

A: The Laird Digital Cinema 12 AWG AC Extension Cord is constructed with wire that is rated for a maximum voltage of 300V and it is fitted with NEMA 15-R and NEMA 15-P connectors which are intended for use with up to 125V in North America. The 300V rating refers to the amount of voltage that the internal wiring of the cable can withstand, but the connectors that it is wired with are what determines the type of power outlets that it can be used with.

Q: 3. Is this safe to use with CyberPower HT1206UC2?

A: Yes, the Watson AC Power Extension Cord (14 AWG, Black, 25') can be used with the CyberPower HT1206UC2 12-Outlet Premium Surge Protector.

Q: 4. It says each outlet is rated for 15A. Does that mean these cords can't handle a light like a 2k fresnel, which would require more than 15A?

A: You rather answered your own question with the required amperage for the 2k fresnel. The gauge of the wire would handle the load, but the molded plugs are rated for only 15A. Compounded with the triple header, which would encourage using multiple fixtures on the same circuit would most definitely overload a standard 20A circuit as well as the rated plugs.I would NOT recommend using this cable for that purpose.

Q: 5. Are all of these Hosa's 15 amp stingers?

A: The Hosa PWX series Extension cords are rated for Max. Operating Voltage 125 V and Max. Operating Current 15 A.

Q: 6. Is this safe to use with the Aputure Amaran 200X?

A: Yes, this AC power extension cord is compatible for use with the Aputure 300d II light.

Q: 8. How flexible is this cable?

A: The Century Wire and Cable 12/3 AWG SJTW Pro Lock Extension Cord is as flexible as most typical heavy duty extension cords. The D144120100BL cable also features a special -5cold weather PVC jacket which ensures working flexibility in temperatures well below freezing, down to -58°F (-50°C).

Q: 9. Is this cord 12 gage?

I was tired of cutting off the protector nipple on long extension cords to power my older Speedotron packs so I looked for shorter heavy gauge cords to dedicate to them. On the three of these I ordered, I cut the plastic piece off opposite the female ground, to fit into the packs, but will need to do so no more! Now my Speedos will be happy! There is plenty of copper there for juice! The spades on these cords are also very strong and will not easily bend. Great product!

The cord on my Fender Guitar Amp is only about 4 feet long so I am limited as to where I can place it. This 10 foot heavy duty cord lets me place my amp almost anywhere now. It also handles the voltage and amperage which my amp requires.
