The Blustream DA11ABL-WP-US is an audio wall plate to convert Bluetooth and analog audio within a digital Dante networked audio system. The DA11ABL-WP is capable of converting two input channels of Bluetooth or unbalanced audio to Dante digital audio. It can also convert two channels of Dante audio to two output channels of unbalanced analog audio. Software configuration for the DA11ABL-WP allows the Bluetooth name to be changed for easy recognition when pairing.
The DA11ABL-WP is a plug-and-play device powered using PoE (Power over Ethernet) or via a 12V power supply (not included). It offers support for AES67 RTP audio transport, and the magnetic faceplate design allows installation into most single-gang US junction boxes. The DA11ABL-WP is the ideal BYOD interface to allow any Bluetooth device to stream audio wirelessly to a Dante audio system.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can I use this with a USB-A to USB-C adapter to connect to a USB-C computer?
A: The Audinate Dante AVIO 2x2 USB Type-A I/O Adapter for Dante Audio Network uses USB 2.0, so no compatibility issues should arise when using it with a USB-A to USB-C adapter.
Q: 2. Does this come with Mac OS X recording software? If so, will the included software allow simultaneous 16 channel recording? If not, what Mac OS X software can I use for simultaneous 16 track recording?
A: No the Tascam US-16x08 does not come with any software. If you want to be able to record 16 tracks or more at once I would suggest you get Pro Tools 11. Here is the B&H part number for Pro Tools 11, B&H # AVPT11DVDS. You can record 32 tracks at once and have 256 busses at your disposal. I would suggest you go to the Avid website and make sure your computer is an Avid-qualified Mac before you make the purchase. Then you should be good to go.
Q: 3. I am concerned that one day in the future, Tascam will stop updating the Driver/app you need to get all 16 inputs into your DAW. If that happens, I guess you just get the 1st 8 mic inputs, which would work for me but who wouldn't like to have all the features work all the time?
A: If such a thing should come to pass in the future. That will be out dated and you will buy a new one with many inputs.
Q: 4. Sitting at a computer for prolong periods can cause spinal discomfort from degenerative disc disease. With that said, in simultaneously recording 16 channels interfacing, a term I know little about, with a software platform means foregoing standalone units with built-in mixing that I would find physically easier. I am just learning of sound recording have last worked with a Teac 4-track recorder, so I am admittedly intimidated technically overwhelmed by this approach. However, since someone bestowed upon me an iPad (that I have little idea of what it does), interfacing seems the most inexpensive way to approach the aforementioned goal of learning to simultaneously record a sizable number of tracks. As a revived joy of music has given me brighter days in anticipation of helping others enjoy, too, what resources exist to begin to grasp merely the basic concept of interfacing, which I presume means using an editing software. I sincerely am asking pointing me toward materials availability on this subject. Our wonderful B&H resource (that is to say, staff) has put together a collection of books on various audio and other topics. Any suggestions on where to start, please? Respectfully, Jeff F.

Q: 5. Can I use this alongside a wired ethernet connection to a WAN?
A: there should be no interference running this alomg side wired ethernet or even power cables.
Q: 6. Any way to turn this off? I have this unit and love it but I have to forget this device each time I want to use my phone or else the audio in the phone is silenced.
A: it would be easy if you just turn off bluetooth on your iphone. turn it back on when you needed it.
Q: 7. Does it work with 220v?
A: I dont think so.
Q: 8. I would like to use this unit to both record and monitor at once. Here's my future use case:-2015 Macbook Pro-Logic Pro XAll 8 XLR inputs are drum mics.Other 1/4 inputs are additional instruments. The 8 XLR inputs are separate tracks in Logic, routed to a single headphone mix bus. That bus sends to one of the outputs on the back of the unit. I'll connect that mix to my headphone amp (JAMHUB).Other band signals will be built separately the same way using separate outputs on the Tascam and connecting to the Jamhub for each musician to build their own mix live. Will this work? Or will the latency be too ridiculous monitoring through Logic?
A: Latency = the amount of time it takes an audio signal to travel (at a rate always slower than the speed of light) from the source of the audio (in your case, drum mics) through any cables to your interface, then via USB to your DAW, and then back again to your headphones. The sound waves created by instruments/amplifiers will ALWAYS reach your ear before a processed signal through a monitor regardless of which interface, DAW, or computer you use--it's simple physics. Your easiest solution is to monitor before the DAW and signal processing (and the headphone output on the front of the unit is an easy option for that). Ideally, everyone routes to the same interface to send to DAW. Conversely, everyone can record through their own interface/DAW and then you can edit the tracks together in post, so you can focus on blending the sounds without the distraction of creating them at the same time. The Tascam US-16x08 is a great tool--it will allow you to record several tracks in your DAW simultaneously (unlike some other units which only permit stereo). Continue to consider your intended application and what will best suit it.
Q: 9. How much is the transformer for 5V input ?
A: We do not have the Tascam branded power supply for this unit, You may wnat to contact them directly. If you would like a universal power supply this one would work for you: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/574791-REG/Hosa_Technology_ACD_477_ACD_477_Universal_Power_Adapter.html?sts=pi&pim=Y
Q: 10. Does it have to be plugged all the time or does it hold the power on its battery? Plan to use this in the car.
A: This unit requires continuous power from the included power cable.
