Find your target in the dark, aim with your own customized reticles, and record the moments before, during, and after your shot with the ThOR 5 XD 3-30x Thermal Riflescope from ATN. Along with a ballistic calculator and a laser rangefinder, the ThOR 5 features a customizable mil dot reticle and a reticle editor you can use to design your own crosshairs. Recoil-activated video captures the action 10 seconds before and 5 seconds after the shot. Dual-stream video capability allows you to stream over Wi-Fi while simultaneously recording on a microSD card. Imagery on the OLED display is shown in your choice of black hot, white hot, and color.

The weather-resistant scope looks and feels much like an optical riflescope, and mounts on your rifle's Picatinny rail with your choice of a pair of mounting rings or a one-piece, two-ring, quick detach mount, both included. Control buttons on the top are easy and intuitive, and eye relief is a comfortable 90mm.

    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. do the legs of sirui 2204 tripod fold in completely around this head, and does the tripod with head on fit in the sirui bag?

A: Yes, the legs would fold completely around the head but you'll get the whole thing in a mild A shape. And the whole thing can fit into the bag provided. But usually I don't bring the bag in the field, One less thing to worry about getting lost and zipping it open and close is kind of annoying.

Q: 2. will this head mount on a monopod with Canon R5 MarkII 200-800mm lens or do I need to buy Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head for Monopods?

A: The Sirui K-30x Ball Head can be use on a monopod if it has a 3/8" screw. Most monopods do. The downside of using a large ball head like this on a monopod is that it has a lot of movement that you may not need on a monopod. It is also larger and heavier. My recommendation for a monopod is the Wimberley MH-100 MonoGimbal Head for Monopods BH #WIMH100. It allows you to find the center of balance of the camera and lens and move them to any angle with weightless freedom. You do need to purchase an arca type plate with it, as it does not include one. For the Canon 200-800 lens I recommend the Kirk Universal Multi-Use Lens Plate with 2 Screws (4.5") BH #KIKLP4502NV2.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with Peak Designs new Capture Clip Plate v3?

A: I do not kow but I have used this tripod head with my carbon fiber tripod and found it to be very solid and light weight.

Q: 4. I want to purchase the FEISOL PB-90 Panning Base to use with this product. It has a 90mm base. Will it fit my Sirui W-2204 tripod and K-30X ball head?

A: Don't know about the Pb-90, but the K-30 ball head has a panning function with a separate pan locking mechanism. It's also has a scale built into the base to show degrees. I have not done any pans yet, but am sure there is no problem. Love the W-2204 with the K-30. Very sturdy and easy to set up. Has a good load capacity.

    Q: 5. Sirui k10.

A: I bought the Sirui k-30 ballhead along with its 4-section portable tripod early 2016. I was really satisfied with its build and quality. Then I bought the same type ballhead for my other tripod late last year. It holds up to 60 pounds on paper. I use it for my Nikon D750 paired with Nikkor 70-200mm F/2.8. Very, very steady. The ballhead has two ways to adjust the tension.

Q: 6. Will this head mount on a monopod?

A: It fits on mine. You need to check the thread size and make sure that they are compatible. That being said, I find that having a ball head on a monopod is a little bit awkward. It's quite hard to move the head with one hand while holding the monopod with the other hand.

    Q: 7. Will this work with a RRS L-Bracket?

A: Hello.I used RRS, Kirk and several no-brand dove tails - works good.

Q: 8. A lot of reviews say that panning is a major issue with this product. Any thoughts?

A: Ball heads are not the best choice for video. A better choice would be a pan head like the Sirui VA-5, VH-10 or VH-15.

Q: 9. I'm interested in doing some panorama photography by stitching multiple photos in post. Would this head be appropriate for this task? Camera is Olympus E-M5 and various M4/3 lenses.

A: As long as it's matched to a heavy duty tripod to handle the weight of camera & lense. The head is very sturdy and precise.

Q: 10. is this ballhead compatible with the Sirui w-2004 tripod?

A: Yes, the Sirui K-30x Ball Head is compatible with the Sirui W-2400 tripod.
