This 6' Extension Cable for Lightning Bug - 2.5mm Male to 2.5mm Female from MK Controls is made to work with the Lightning Bug Shutter Trigger, although it can be used in other situations where a 2.5mm male to 2.5mm female extension is needed. Its main application with the Lightning Bug is to allow the use of two cameras with one Lightning Bug. This is done by pairing the extension cord with a male to double female splitter.

You have two options when you decide to get this kind of cable. Either you buy an off-brand for cheap on Amazon and risk frying your camera/lighting gear. Or, you buy from a reputable brand such as IndiPro and avoid this... Oh and IndiPro's prices are actually competitive so its not like your overpaying with this brand! I highly recommend this cable, brand and also their excellent V-Mount batteries by the way! :D 5

Some might say I'm slow to react--but I don't think I am--except where lightning is concerned. Without a detector, I miss the bolt every time. Not with this little guy, however. I've only had one chance to try it out and it grabbed a bolt I didn't even see. If you want to shoot lightning, this is an easy choice. 5

I have purchased a MK Controls Lightning Bug Plus strike finder. Through some misuse on my part the finder was not giving me results I liked. I contacted the company and their customer service was amazing. I may have damaged my trigger through misuse. The company worked through the issues with me and ended sending me a new unit which works splendidly. 5
