Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used for the new PreSonus StudioLive Series III 32?

A: Unfortunately it cannot. The correct case for the PreSonus StudioLive 32 Series III Digital Mixer is B&H# GAGTOUR32III. Which you may find on our website.

Q: 2. What are the measurements??

A: The SKB 1RMM32-DHW is designed specifically for the Midas M32. SKB offers the Exterior dimensions only. Length: 44.25 in (112.40 cm) Width: 35.75 in (90.81 cm) Depth: 14.75 in (37.47 cm)

Q: 3. How many c-stands could fit in here?

A: The turtle base C-stands will fit with the base removed, but not the non-detatchable base stands. I have three in my Lightware C6050 case. You could likely fit 5-6, however weight will be an issue. I limited my case to 3 C-stands so that my assistants don't break their backs lifting the cases.

Q: 4. Will this fit Sachtler PED C III?

A: No, the SKB Roto-Molded Tripod Case with Wheels (46") is not large enough for the Sachtler Pedestal C III.

Q: 5. Will I be able to check this bag and not pay oversize fee at airport. Most airlines use L, W, H, total of 62 inches and under as not oversized. Also I have a 38 slider, will this fit in the case?

A: This design is an extremely annoying 1.5 beyond the oversize limit. I've checked it twice without being charged anything extra. But I'm just waiting for a stickler check-in agent to ruin my streak with a $200 oversize fee...

Q: 6. Can this SKB Roto-Molded Tripod Case (24 Tall) be used as checked baggage on airlines?

A: Hi Lynette, Yes, you can check these at the airport although there are better solutions if you tend to fly with this gear a lot. These tripod cases have clips keeping the lid on so if the case gets hit in just the right way it could open the lid. If you were consistently checking these for fly dates then I would recommend our 3i-3613-12BE (empty), 3i-3613-12BL (with foam)or 3i-2213-12BE (empty), or 3i-2213-12BC (with foam). These options are made to take much more abuse from being shipped or checked on airlines. Also these options have pull out handle and wheels where the 1SKB-R2411 does not. If you purchase any of these cases empty or use the 1SKB-R2411 I would recommend putting the tripods and heads in sleeves or padded bags if flying. That will help so that the gear does not get scratched. Thank you,Will

Q: 7. Does anyone know how to label these bags? I have many of them and I want them labelled for the right gear. Tags tend to rip off or break the strap. Tape tends to peel off.

A: The only way to label them is to use a tag. I would recommend using a tag with a steel wire so that it doesn't rip.

Q: 8. Does the bottom of this case have skids or feet? Is it the same exterior material on the bottom?

A: The Case exterior material is Nylon, unfortunately there are no Skids or feet on the Lightware C6037 Flip Lid and Cargo Case.

Q: 9. Is there a way to lock the lid on? I'd like to be able to lock the case and check it on a flight.

A: From the looks of it the fasteners are only buckles and does not appear to lock on this model.

Q: 10. I have a tripod that's 38 long and about 9 wide. I'm wondering how much foam is in either end of this 41 SKB case (1SKB-R4111W) and whether or not I would be better off with the 42 case (1SKB-R4209W) that's longer but only 9 wide (the 41 is 11 wide)... would that one be too tight a fit width wise I wonder? Any thoughts?

A: I just measured the inside of the case and with the foam on the top and bottom you only have about 37 of space length wise.
