A: The DJI transmission combo would allow control of both RS2 and RS3 pro gimbals when used with the DJI Ronin 4D Handgrip Combo.

A: Panasonic recommends use of a AW-RP50E controller for IP control of the AW-HE60S camera. Although 3rd party IP controllers may be able to communicate with IP controllable PTZ cameras, the Panasonic controllers are coded specifically for use with their cameras and are recommended for full compatibility.

Q: 3. B&H site lists high bright monitor/receiver to the this transmitter as discontinued. What product do you recommend as receiver?

A: At this time the DJI Ronin 4D TX2 Video Transmitter is only compatible with the High-Bright Remote RX Monitor.

Q: 6. I bought this lens recently but am having problems getting clear photos wide open. I found that going to F8 gets good results but of course that's a lot of light to give up. This includes shots at a fixed object from a tripod with delayed shutter. Any ideas ? Nikon D810 and this lens and/or TC14.

A: Hi Yelena, it might help to know what your subject matter is. I shoot birds and surfers with this lens wide open with a TC14 and get very sharp images (also w/ a D810). As a matter of fact this lens is quite well known for it's crisp and sharp images. Of course, wide open with a TC is 5.6 which is the sweet spot. One thing I did which may help is to ditch the stock tripod mount and get one of the after-market mounts which stabilizes the lens better. Good luck.John

A: Yes, it can be switched with other 4D's with a clean feed. The resolution is up to 1080p60 Video.

Q: 8. Will this control the cameras using Ethernet?

A: Yes, it uses IP for control.

Q: 9. besides the focus dial, is there any other ring that could be assigned to a zoom motor?

A: No other physical parts on the DJI Ronin 4D Handgrips can be assigned to the wheel for the motors. The joystick may be able to be modified in the future.

Q: 10. couple question on this lens, is this lens made in Japan? I am pretty sure the lens works on a d7100 Nikon. Is this lens brand new?

... this is one wonderful piece of glass. I already owned a Nikkor 105mm 2.8 and love it for macro, but I needed a good telephoto lens. And that is what I got. So far I have mostly shot birds with it as far as long distance shots are concerned, but they are the best I have ever taken. My favorite subject is butterflies. I did not buy this lens for that purpose, but decided to try it. I like to catch the butterflies in flight when possible. This lens is amazing at stopping them mid-flap. I post my shots on the major photo sharing site on the web and everyone who looks at the shots comments about them being great macros. Well, they are not macro, but they are so crisp they appear to be.I have no negatives regarding this lens. It performs better than I could have ever expected. My level of skill is somewhere between upper amateur and pro. I have not sold my work, but some of it has been published in entomology textbooks. 5

Used for Bird/aircraft/nature close photography so far. When used with a Canon (yes Canon) two element close up lens which has a 77 mm lens filter fitting the combination forms a very good macro lens for insects which cannot be easily approached without disturbing them. Easily hand held producing very sharp photo's with excellent contrast. This lens instantly locks focus onto fast moving objects. I use it on a Nikon D300 body at 450 mm wide open at F4 and it easily produces very sharp images which this combination can track and keep in focus when objects are moving at speed. My 80-400 lens which is good for stationary objects and when it is possible to prefocus, hunts a lot and cannot keep up with fast action causing many opportunities to be missed. I would not describe this lens as lightweight but it is easily hand holdable for extended periods of time. I have no criticism to make about this lens. 5

The Nikkor 300 is a versatile lens. Its ability to focus less than 4 feet makes it an excellent choice for insects, reptiles and other skittish macro targets. The image is exceptional and focus is fast. It is hand holdable if you relax and use higher shutter speeds. 5

Having just made a duel jump (from film to digital, and from Canon to Nikon) I had no direct comparisons, but this lens exceeded my expections in almost every catigory. The optics are excellent. I most often use it with a Nikon 1.4 teleconverter, and then magnify that image. With that in mind, a tripod is always a good idea and yet, I've taken photos of animals and birds hand-held with remarkable detail of fur and feathers. As others have indicated, the tripod mounting collar leaves something to be desired (I upgraded to an after market brand) but even with that minor flaw, this lens is a keeper. ... 5

If you are reading this review you have probably checked out many test results of this lens and you know it is extremely good. I can confirm it is a real professional grade lens. This lens is perfect for wildlife and it allows you to use teleconverters. It is very lightweight and you can take it with you even in mountain excursions. It is the lens I use the most, from wildlife to macro (with extension tubes) to portrait. Sharpness and color rendition are wonderful, AF-S is fast and reliable, with anytime manual override. The lens is not a VR one... but it is probably in the nikon upgrade list... be aware of this if you are going to buy it. The most discussed cons of this lens is the tripod collar.. and yes.. it is a very weak point. I changed the original nikon collar with a third party one: now the lens is perfectly stable. 5

If you are ready to get a telephoto lens of high quality and you can't spend $4000+ for the 300mm f/2.8, then get the next best thing. The 300mm f/4. Let me tell you this is one fine lens and just over $1000 it's worth every penny. Also this lens works very well with the TC-1.4E II to make this a powerful 420mm f/5.6 lens. BUY IT NOW!!!!! Expertise: No Pro, but love taken pictures. Problems Encountered: None. But it would have been nice if it also had VR. Took a point away from the design because of this one thing. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 VR Items I Recommend: D200 5

This is an amazing lens. Yesterday I took tack-sharp pictures of small wildlife with this lens, handheld and at shutter speeds as low as 1/60th second! I used to own the Nikon 70-300mm ED zoom and there is simply no comparison, especially at wider apertures. So just buy it, if you can beg, borrow or steal the funds -- your shoulders and your wallet might not thank you, but your photos will. 5

bought this to go with my d600. and it works great. even with a tc 1.7e teleconverter attached, no problems with auto focus. i always have my zoom all the way out for wildlife pics and wanted a good prime. makes me want to buy a couple more primes. pics just seem a whole lot clearer and the f4 sure lets in plenty of light for what i do. thanks nikon. 5
