It's a good stand and will hold every bit of the weight it is rated for. A: I'm afraid that you have no very good idea of how big and tremendously heavy the Riser Stand is, so I'd have to say that you'd be insane to use it as a stand-in for a tripod to hold a lightweight camera. Yes, the Stand is on wheels, but better to use a really lightweight stand from any one of many tripod manufacturers, that you could pick and move with a few fingers on one of your hands.
