Capture high-quality, longer images using a full-frame camera with a Sony E mount and the NiSi ATHENA PRIME 135mm T2.2 Full-Frame Lens. The lens features micro-contrast control, soft bokeh for beautiful background separation, and low chromatic aberration to highlight image details without distortion. It has a maximum aperture of T2.2 and an 80mm front diameter with minimal focus breathing.

The focus ring is capable of rotating 300° for intuitive control. Markings on the lens are fluorescent and in both feet and meters. The lens has a 46mm image circle to capture as many details as possible. A drop-in filter mount places your lens filters of choice in between your camera sensor and lens body.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens parfocal?

A: It is not. A parfocal lens is a lens that stays in focus when the focal length is changed. This is a fixed focal length lens, you cannot change the focal length of this lens.

Q: 2. How bad is the focus breathing on this? I have the 85mm and it's pretty heavy.

A: On this Rokinon 135mm Cine DS model, the breathing is minimized.

Q: 3. Is this lens compatible with Canon 7D?

A: Yes, the lens and the 7D will both EF mounts, so this lens will mount on natively.

Q: 4. What is the diferrence between this rokinon lens labeled in $399 and the same rokinon 85mm t1.5 labeled in $279?

A: The difference is more on the technical side, the more expensive version, the DS has better coating on the glass similar to the xeen ( same lens in cinema lens housing). The markings are also on both sides for pulling focus. The $279 lens is the first version which is great cinema glass in a photography housing, and not quite optimized for video but still usable. The DS $399 is a better attempt to make it more video/ cinematography friendly, The xeen with is the same lens, made directly to target cinematography. Hope that helps.

Q: 5. Hello, How is lens different from the other 85mm? # RO8515CThanks-Otto

A: The DS version features a multi layer coating in order to reduce flare. It also features markings in a more convenient location in order to view from both sides. Finally, the line is color checked in order to be used as a set.

Q: 6. This lance is auto focus...?

A: It does not auto focus on my Sony pxw fs5.

Q: 7. Is this newer than the DS version?

A: The Samyang 135mm T2.2 AS UMC VDSLR II and the Rokinon 135mm T2.2 Cine DS Lens were announced the same day, January 12, 2015.

Q: 8. Does the lens have a focus confirm chip?

A: From what I understand, there is no chip of any kind on this lens, which is a completely manual focus lens. When you mount it on a DSLR, no aperture displays, and in post- processing a still image, lens metadata displays as 50mm for focal length. Thus, there is no lens correction data that can be accessed. However, this lens is designed for video use, preferably with a geared follow focus mechanism. I also would suggest using a small monitor with focus peaking feature to make focusing this way more accurate. B&H sells many brands and models that fit on the hot shoe of your camera. 7 is a popular size.

Q: 9. is it compatible with a T5i? Whats the difference from a Samyang? O are they the same

A: Yes any EF lens will work with the T5i. It is a nice lens because it will give you a lot of separation from the subject and background, making your bokeh look creamy. Samyang, Rokinon and Bower are the same company that merged from Korea. I like the look of this lens, just remember you will need to back up from your subject and there is no autofocus it is all manual. Follow me on Instagram if you have anymore questions @bushfilms

Q: 10. What is the actual weight of the lens?

A: The lens weighs 3.1lbs.
