Q: 1. Will the exterior back pocket fit an iPad?

A: I do not have an iPad but do have a tablet with a case. The dimensions are: 5x8x1 . That does fit in the back outside pocket snuggly. For the front pocket, there is more room. P.S. I love the bag.

Q: 2. Is the Canvas material a thicker canvas like the one pictured or is it different? I bought and received one that was a different material.

A: I have several Domke bags, the oldest about 15+ years. The canvas material on all of them is pretty much the same. The only products that have a thinner canvas material are the F900 and F901 pouches.

Q: 3. I carry a Nikon D-810 with battery pack. Along with 3 2.8 zooms, and the usual accessories. will it all fit?

A: I have a Canon D7 with a 70-200 mounted that fits lens-down, a 180 Macro and 40-70 wide angle. Also carry flash, light meter, diffuser in main compartment no problem. The other pockets hold a lot of accessories including filters.

Q: 4. I need a bag to handle my D700 w/grip, 20 35 2.8 50 1.4 and a 70 210D lens plus a flash and acc. I don't have a camera store to go to and try out bags, I have to do a pig in a polk if it doesn't work I'm stuck or send it back.I'm currently using a 20 year old Domke F3X but not all will fit! is this, I can cram it all in but I have to remove many items to get where I want. I started using this bag back in the 90's in film, with digital over the years I use this and then it won't work just right and I try something else.I really like Domke. but I don't have the luxury of trying one out first?Why don't camera bag makers say what they will hold not just the measurements.

A: The Domke F-3X is not going to fit your gear. Unfortunately, it does not appear that any Domke bags will be able to accommodate this amount of equipment.

A: not if you have a decent amount of pro photo gear

A: When I travel i put my gear in an airline size hard case with wheels. I pack my Domke bag in my luggage but stuff it with underwear and toiletries. No need to flatten it.
